Aftermath

The breeze stenciled in gray as night dims low
Engraving war's moments, blood of sorrow.

Our Secret Meeting

Her sigh, a breeze; I chase to meet

As dusk hold us, tryst is complete.

Stained Letters

Old letters stained by umbra of the night

Each crumpled phrase falls as ravens alight

What are the questions we're afraid to ask
But the light in which we will never bask.

Has our universe got an end and a beginning?
perhaps the beginning of the universe is our ending.

Brag Time

I always write in perfect rhyme.
To me, near rhyme's not worth a dime.
Its use is a poetic crime.
If you want poetry sublime,
I offer mine, succinct and prime.

Post-Thanksgiving Request

Dear Pastor, please feel free
to preach the truth to me
on lying, prying, crying,
on trying, sighing, dying
but, I beg, not gluttony.

Father Knows Best

Why is the universe so massive?
Only its creator knows for sure.
I am both baffled and anticipating.
Our creator has great eternal plans for us.

Monday Morning

Clouds cry on the grass,
Little sprouts springing slowly,
waiting for the sun.

Quiet, birds chirping;
Not a creature bustles today
They sleep with the sun.

How Happy

Good friends to greet, great food to eat,

and family with me.

True love so sweet; to feel complete!

How happy life can be!

Face Up

Putting up a brave face,
when bleeding heart shows no trace.

Secret of Rhyming

A rhyming scheme defines my style
Where magic drips on quill’s potion,
If quintains and sonnets beguile
Hands pray for meter’s salvation,
This secret I keep, to win the throne!

Transcend

This love's a mix of passion and pride, a heavenly blend.
I'll hold your life in mine, on this you can depend.
Love of ages, now become my dearest friend.
We'll traverse roads that never bring us to the end.

Below Starry Skies

Golden sun sets low and melds with blazing eyes,
warm bodies entwine, ignited by breathless replies.
Unspoken deeds, starry night comes to mesmerize
as passion’s kiss shoots forth stifling my soft cries.

Happiness

What is happiness, I hear you say?
It's in your thoughtfulness, but not something you pay.
It's in togetherness, so there's no lonely days.
So spread a little tenderness, it goes a long ways.

Recipe For Happiness

What count is not the best living but the most living
No longer bounded by hope for a better future or eternity,
Pursue not life’s meaning nor run amuck fantasy weaving
Reach a state of contented acceptance and the ensuing serenity.

Our Beyond

What great dimension of the vast beyond
     makes Earth a microscopic vagabond?

But we, the wisest in Earth's history...
still blinded by this endless mystery.

Unanswered Questions

Why in my nightmares do I beat a girl in my dream,
never the same scene, but in anger I rant and scream?

In the back of my mind, could it be my dead sister,
while alive and near, I never told her I loved her.

Unanswered Questions

Why ,when I'm in the bathroom do I hear my cellphone ring?
This question always vexes me above so many things.
And when I go to answer it, my towel drops to the floor
much to the horror of the bus queue just outside my door.
