Inadequacy
I am trailing,
Teetering timidly
In your footsteps
That prove too big
For me to ever fill....

Is This?
Is this perdition,
   that I suffer so
In this inadequacy and
affliction,
   Of sleep, woe?...

Inadequacy
Sit and whisper to myself
Those things that I feel
Inadequacy and not up to it
But then I know that I survived
And will go on and feel alive
Go and shout it isn’t true
For you are better than that.

When my mind is foggy I find it hard to see
The only clarity being doubt and inadequacy

It’s so much easier to run and hide
Than in others to confide

I wish it to be peaceful between my ears
Not just for now but for all my years

Holes In Clothes Had Big Loop
Loophole is either an ambiguity or
inadequacy in the law or a set of
rules.

Each hole in clothes did have big loop,
Which we heard from the latest scoop,
That was shred,
By Trump in bed
With women he did pea on and poop.

Another great golden shower.

Fragile – Handle With Fear

Yes
No
Maybe
why oh why
can’t it be simply
a decision based on the facts
untarnished by the inadequacy of feelings,
a determination of truth arrived at through a consensual understanding.

A Lament
I spend my time, staring at the sky
jealous of those trees that can reach such great heights
I see their spindly branches winding out into the atmosphere
I feel the heaviness in my limbs
Aren't we both reaching out for you
Grieving my inadequacy
While I stand here with my empty arms outstretched

So much time wasted
So many years
Consumed with inner turmoil
Cried an ocean of tears

Zero self confidence
Brimmed with inadequacy
Failed before l even began
“Everyone else can do it …..but me!”

l found inner peace
My soul was set free
No more time wasted
Just loving being me!

Patience
To move past
To overcome
To let go
The hardest thing to do

To rise above anger
To float above inadequacy
Take the most persistence

I have never controlled anything besides myself so why pretend to be angry?
I know and you know the only action we control in this continuous present moment is to be. We are good actors....

Premium Member The Cool Jester Sad Within
Listen to poem:
Always playing the fool, belittles self to buffoon.
Cap with bells belies the deep sad truth within.
Like blue-black ink squirts from octopus threatened,
    joking is a smoke-screen hiding deep-seated inadequacy,
made worse by audience's insatiable need for jokes.
Like 'Cool Hand Luke', the jester, always in demand,
when really pressed, spurts out: "Stop feedin' off me"....

Wasted years of not knowing

That just being me was enough

Inadequacy pumped through my veins

Never knew of self love

Feelings of inferiority

Little confidence or self worth

Failed before l even started

Never experienced true inner mirth

It took years, maturity ,self awareness

To open my eyes and see

l was worthy and entirely enough

Just being me ….....

The parallel life of a woman

              To be a woman:
Is to search your father's missing love in stranger's beds
To live life scrambling for love
Yet hating every moment of it
To crave gentleness, yet run at the sight of it
              Such is womanhood,
              in its adequate inadequacy.

Wisdom
I will deceive the immortality
in my inadequacy, between myself
and a messy belief.

The sky cracks open.
One unreal moon
slaps the dark clouds.

You want to rest on my shoulder
till eternity.
The silence leads to nothingness.

Over the rifts, space and time
eyes stalk the hands.
You cannot write your name.

You will not move a step,
I will not stay for long.
The distance will defend us both.

Cold wins blow across
My weary bones
Feathered icicles
Hanging high above home
Downey woodpecker
Eating a suet mix
Nature’s inadequacy
For a protein fix
Cats watch behind
Glass doors
Phantasms erupt
On litter laden floors
Feathered shadows
Creeping in my door
Sultry winter
Crystal icicles
Creatures on my floor
Warming sun
Shrinks the creatures range
Infatuation of darkness
Mentally so strange...

I Am
I am the master of mediocrity…
The commander of inadequacy…
The king of the mundane…
I am the conqueror of an empty battlefield…
I am the guardian of shame…
I am the dictator of all the autumn trees…
I choose which limbs will first lose their leaves…
My dreams are dull, and make no sense…
I’m a prisoner of no war tied to a broken fence…
My motivation was stolen even though it was free…
I am the supreme ruler of my vast, one-inch sea…...

Untitled
when inadequacy
comes knocking
who will shove it off the stoop?

when the self importance of this world
makes the air thick
who will slice it thin with humility?

who is that entity of selflessness
sneaking behind the walls,
crouching slowly?

will rays of discouragement,
worthlessness, and the like
burn the skin beyond repair?

I see sadness, but smiles abound.

Happy but hungry,
how can it be?

Faith, love, and you-
respectively....

Impoverishment
Inadequacy defines me.
Money is not my only lack,
Pinching, as pride slips through the cracks,
Overdrafting maintenance fees.
Vacancies have never been free.
Emptiness makes my sad soul slack,
Reduced beyond what you can stack,
Insufficiently, just to be.
Shortages abound all around.
Hardships are collected instead.
Meagerness charged my flesh a pound,
Exhausting my efforts in bed.
Necessity will make a sound,
Torturing my spirit, when dead....

Insidious harmony

inadequacy and impotence; infection of valet
destruction annihilates the human spirit
ballroom choreography reveals deficiency
stamina illuminated by revitalized behavior
impending fortitude seeks out the seeker
soaring ambitions will fertilize emergence
robust tenacity breeds dominating disposition
committing deportment flavors the hunger
concluding interlude contribute the means
seldom encountered but forever introduced

Premium Member Jealousy
Jealousy a destructive emotion
Serves no-one well
Brings out the worst in human nature
Dragging mind and heart to a dark hell

Slowly diminishes the human spirit
Gnaws at ones soul
Creating confusion and paranoia
No longer balanced or whole

Insecurity and disappointment
Lead to this negativity
Not at peace or happy with one’s self
Feelings of inadequacy

Please believe in yourself
Never doubt your worth
You are no less
Than any other on this earth!...

Good For Nothing
Being proud of yourself isn’t enough,
When your loved ones don’t think so.
Thinking you’re tough and strong,
Yet you can’t handle the pain you know.

Every time life starts getting rough,
You bury yourself deep and low.
I try to do things right each time,
But feel handcuffed by winds that blow.

It’s freezing out here, and I’ve nowhere to go,
The cold wind steals the warmth I hold.
And once it’s over, I’m back again—
Good for nothing, with nothing to show....
