-If Only I Knew

Wasted years of not knowing

That just being me was enough

Inadequacy pumped through my veins

Never knew of self love

Feelings of inferiority

Little confidence or self worth

Failed before l even started

Never experienced true inner mirth

It took years, maturity ,self awareness

To open my eyes and see

l was worthy and entirely enough

Just being me …..

There is only one Deb M, you are unique, there will never be another you. A loving, kind, person and a poet that under rates herself. Being you is who you are, you cannot be anyone else or need to be.

Sorry you had a challenge with discovering who you are and realizing be you is enough. Shucks girl, I think you're terrific. Big hugs, Bill p.s. I really enjoy your poetry, Deb.

I lacked self-confidence in my youth, too, Deb. There is absolutely not one thing I would change about you... I love you just as you are. Hugs!
