drumming his long fingers
impatiently......he waits in vain

Sunset finds its sweet repose
in tangerine hues upon the sea
Palm trees bow their sleepy heads
As the moon looks down impatiently
The sun's rays blare impatiently
a trumpet at my window
Their jars and jolts of dissonance
a workingman's overture's crescendo
fallen, rotting tree
a short pause to sit and think
what was in this exact spot
one million years past?
my dog whines impatiently
as if he already knows...

In my mind that phrase
Still repeats itself
And I will wait
Sun up, moon down

But just so you know
My insides are aching
To see you
To breathe you
Pushed and shoved
Still I stand strong

The last soul returns-
coming from the town, ravaged
impatiently, to the ground.
O, now I have- peace
that never valued before,
beaming inside my coffin.

Heart sips
Wandering sorrow
As the night
In stillness
Impatiently, cries
Out loud
To the growing
Pain
Love songs
From dad’s old radio
Haunt the memories-
The pieces
Of you
And me
Buried
Deep
In a scar
All I have are words
that dance around the edges
and
whisper
impatiently insistent
laughing
crying
loving
dying
words that tear
shred my heart
to strings
left dangling
and
tangling
with
yours.
Eyes searching impatiently, happily for him,
viola! there he is,

I glare, you stare
and then your not there
Im here.... waiting....

Its gone, the moments gone.
I wake at the edge of dawn to hear songbirds sing.
A habit since a child, I love listening to their soft trills.
It's then, as the world in slumber lies hushed and still
that I impatiently loosen the reins of my gypsy soul
to run with wild abandon, free to chase the wind.
