As you take a deep breath
and sink within'...
When you return for air
.....beware....
of cunning hunters harpoon....
re-post inspired by Janis contest
a single owl screech
breaks the silent
November night-
the Hunters moon
waxes blue
Creatures prowling through the forest
hunters and prey cloaked by dark curtain

Dealers arriving
Merchandise appearing.
Bargain hunters searching
Treasures departing.
Dealers exiting
with pockets a-jingling.
Descending acorns
Now under a hunters moon
Falling with a plunk

Men hunting,
hunters gathering,
animals dying,
spears killing,
skin drying,
men cheering,
family feasting.
By Nafeesa.
Labradors come in
three colors, good hunters, love

Like toy boats on a pond
The ducklings swam in precise line
One by One
They ducked down, bottoms up
Treasure Hunters
One held a fish in its mouth
Come the mighty night
with stars and moon blazing bright.
Hunters hark delight!
Predators prey with sharp sight.
Smaller creatures cringe, affright!
lifetime
a collection
memories, souvenirs
personal possessions become
items
coveted by bargain hunters
now fifty percent off
just fill the bag
clearance
Giggling chuckling and guffawing
Like a bunny start each day hopping
Watch for hunters
They'll give you ulcers
It's the only way to start your day
one duck always follows the wounded down
staying with her until she passes
why do they do this?
ducks have more compassion and humanity
than humans, especially hunters with guns
hunters are long gone
remaining deer are safe
meadow is still in shock from the gunplay
november sunset is a relief
no more loud noises
no more death
bam!
spoken too soon
a single owl screech
breaks the silent
November night-
the Hunters moon
waxes blue

It lives in forests
among serpents he stays
all serpents vanished
their skeleton unknown
but when squirrel
jumps tree to tree
hunters take off
believing horror serpent
is back on stage
Living in mountainous rocky area
Makes goat mountain free from predators
But, sometimes a simple wrong steps will kill them
Other danger lurking goat mountain
Are the poachers and hunters.
Haughty Tiger was blatantly vain
She presumed that poor Ass had no brain
Ass stayed cool when hunters came
And pretended to be lame
But Miss Knowall was bound to a chain.

Norwegian elkhounds, proud and bold,
With curly tails that wag like gold,
In forests deep, they roam and play,
Hunters of night, they stalk their prey,
In every heart, their love unfolds.
deep in the pool
the harvest moon
bleak and surreal
too soon the image
dissolves in space
MOON TANKA
a single owl screech
breaks the silent
November night-
the Hunters moon
waxes blue
Night,
lunar-
lit.
The eyes
luminous,
surprise
prey.
Fearsome
hunters of
lowly creatures.
Nocturnal
dwellers
in
darkness
encounter
nightmares
of
savage
death.
early bird gets worm

Seagulls saunter the shoreline, nipping at scraps of dead fish
Hunters and gatherers will soon have more than a bellyful
Gils choked by the black tar and oiled wings await Gulf sea life
woodland wild conceals the sasquatch
wire-fur man, to hunters, a scarce watch
runaround trails remains the sassy catch
if only, if only... but bigfoot strides quick
wondering if found, we could ask what?
