Cheryl forgot to close the chest

Hive
Stirring the hornet's nest,
he came right underneath,
irritated hornets,
 normally fly upwards,
this time,
they took a downward dive,
he was swollen and trite,
and resolved,
never to touch a hive....

Greed a fallow field of need

Lust a liars claim of love

Wrath a harbinger of hate

Gluttony a beggars fitful dream

Envy a failures silken cloak

Premium Member Snow Hornets
The night is cold
Snow is pure
Flakes are individuals
No two alike
Why do you haunt me?
I live alone
Inside
There’s nothing
But bitter cold
Hornets fester
In my heart
Ready to protect
My deadly guest
One sting will kill
The love you feel
So leave my nest
Hidden in a barn
Where no one treads
Not even mice...

Short Song of Life
A mother scissor-tail dives at a crow
chasing her foe across a empty sky.
She is on the attack, past watching trees
determined to guard her nest, her unborn.

The yellow-jackets buzz around my head
warning me to stay away from their nest.
I swat at the hornets in my surprise---
I have children of my own to protect....

Premium Member Day Three of the Heat Wave
Seems like a year or two
Sweaty stench envelops you

Your eyes burn, your throat cracks
Your shirt is plastered to your back

Collar wilts, underthings cling
Wasps and hornets look to sting

Dizzy, your brain; your energy drained
Conversations short and strained

For this you yearned all winter long?
Come January ~ Same old Song...

A Dead In the Life
From claggy Bedders and Hornets hump,
From Cordell, Laws and Radar.
We trundle merry like a thump
To see Fab Adies sock.

In hoodie cloves and clippy breeze;
In Disco Dave we pledge.
I chortle like a tuneless wheeze
To see Bad Adie rock!

On Kunterblanche we make our name,
A pallet one and all,
Then Turb into myself again
To see Mad Adies frock....

Bug Collector
Brush off your ant bites.
Blind eye the hornets sting.

Gone so long with ways of violence.
Creatures having done nothing wrong.

But it’s fine “they aren’t important”.
Legs or wings or hair you just can’t bare.

Squash and flush because no voice.
If it spoke would you still fear?

Darling child with bugs in jars,
May your care linger on and on my dear.

prevaricated amongst
Amusing said the Unicorn
whose offspring ran riot
amongst the golden corn fields
In toad stalls fiery hornets roamed

By the wanton pavilion
all hope was gone
a fire crackle sentence serenaded
the dearth of thought culpable

Bramble often permanent
prevaricated by the ha ha
in the vista of no return
casting our thoughts to yesterday

Premium Member Mud Daubers Unwelcome
Hornets came flying in from all directions
Skidding to a stop, showing no kinds of affections.

They filled the kitchen, they filled the hall.
The wasps joined them and had a ball.

The mud daubers heard and tried to crash.
Which was truly pushy and rather rash.

A fight ensued, they stung each other almost to death.
I heard this account from my curious cousin Beth....

Premium Member Jagged Peace
I gave you a box of giggling clowns
to make you laugh during the downs
I gave you a spray of golden fins
to swim far away from your jinn.

This cracked heart you'll never have
for it has turned into a pulsing hive
a bouquet of hornets at the ready
to sting away your whitewashed lies.

The windchimes are chilled and quiet now
gone are the stingers and giggling clouds
a pile of dust where there once lay fleece
I pray that you'll straddle a jagged peace.

Premium Member Ires of March
The scene stopped me in my tracks,
Crimson bursting through darkly gray.
"Another cold, dark morning," I mused.
As I turned to walk away...

"Beware the Ires of March, Watchman!
Scoffers attack like mad hornets!
I AM stirring their secret hives,
Exposing their darkly terror.
They will reap what they have sown,
When I unleash My holy terror!"

"How do I confirm this, Lord?"
"Better than a sign to see
Are the direct words from Me.
So, beware the Ires of March!"...

Allowance To the Rival
I recall desiring dismal disaster
As tension tightened and negative neurons swarmed like hornets
Over honey not made by them
But by the very enemy

I do not believe my rival became what it was
Till I allowed him in
Willingly, and wittingly

Feeling foreign claws clamp around me
Scratching my untouched skin
To feel what it was like absorbed in that knowing grin

I had not thought it over how it would actually end…
Until it began

Creator Daughter She Not Or Wife
There she has his foot stool, for all that won't give
her their bread, her inside voice and out voice is
different, there her saints don't believe that the
hornets his daughter inlaws, the feeling of ice
in there blood, there they have a voice for all
goodness out and inside different. don't do
it don't make saints out of hospitals their
friends live like millions. give it away, they
don't give their last cent, they don't work
for nothing. give it away this work it will stop them....
