Nice one , Paul. One time in a poetry club, I took the name of around ten members and made limericks with all their names. That was fun to do!!

Cheryl is a poet who I admire so much, and I wish I were as talented as she is. I love her wonderful way of telling a story... This was a great tribute poem for her. Very nicely Dunn, Paul! :)

Dearest Paul I love this poem, it's me all the way. Sorry I have not been on much lately, but I have been finishing with the house repairs for winter. God is it cold here my furnish went out and I am chilled to the bone. Yes I'm glad Halloween is over and I've put away the dark crimson pen for another year my friend. I like the lighter side of life anyway, Halloween is one of my favorite Hoilday's but Christmas is also. But I will be honest I hate the cold of winter.

Hi Cherl I am so glad you found this limerick to your liking! I was hoping as much. I do not like the cold, either, but in Malta the cold months are few, so it is not that hard to put up with them. I too have been doing repair works on the house and so far the weather has been kind to me. Looking forward to Christmas:) // paul

Gosh, did this really happen, Paul? Perhaps Cheryl did this metaphorically. Sure hope so. Very witty limerick, my friend. Love, Carolyn

Hi Carolyn! Cherl wrote a long series of dark poems leading up to Halloween; now that period appears to be done with and she is writing on a different tone, equally good and entertaining. Hugs // paul

She sure has, Liam! But for the time being her 'dark' coloured pen has been put to rest. She has taken up a brightly coloured one for now (see her autumn flame poem....beautiful!) // paul

I do not write too many limericks; variety is important to stop us from falling into a rut, but I have to admit that I could write lots of the when I'm in the mood! Thank you for the 'superb' comments. Have a nice weekend. // paul
