 He moved to Beverly hills
Bought a house with a cement pond instead...

I Was Born In the Bush
I was born in the bush
I live in bush homestead
I go to bush school
I am taught by bush teachers
I learn bush knowledge
But my brain is not bushy
as bush-life has taught me
how to distinguish between
bush-ness and wisdom...

Premium Member Homestead Love
gingerbread lace on a gorgeous white porch
splashed of corals and oranges among the green trees
here is a home where love is generously lavished
I rush out of the car almost before it has stopped
Home at last, I smell vanilla and cinnamon and love....

Premium Member Nothing Could Have Stopped Him
he had no idea it was going to be his last ride
his horse acted finicky, but he thought it was the weather
his wife had a feeling, as she watched him go
there was nothing she could have said to stop him
his brother’s homestead was in trouble
he walked off into the early dawn, unaware...

Premium Member Roses Too
Ripe strawberries are intensely red,
And blazing full-blown roses are too,
And pompadours in a leafy homestead,
Or the heart love has rendered blue.
So ruby the sun's comings and goings-
And beds of scarlet beauty unknowing.

Spent Hours
Softer than a whisper of a dream
my paper moon
has found no homestead
The morning dew
sees the dazzling of rain

When the party finishes before time
There's none who you can absolve you
Blurry revellers empty the streets
and the turn around
kicks like a harlequin
to scratch your gilded fears away

Earth Weeps For Earth
post to her
mother earth
mother of niger lads
her lads are crying
crying & drowning
in running tears
torrents of torments
when she comes
to this old homestead
earth weeps for earth
mother for lads
lads for mother
our songs arrive
the borders of rivers
earth upon earths
new born souls
age over-night
and
earth weeps for earth...

Getaway
on the road to Beverly
past Corfu, Smyrna
a battered homestead
a rusting hulk
hot wind, dust
storming sky, raging river
how much better than backbiting and fear

contempt energizes above
a crack, the rip
bolt over the shoulder
Mother Nature's huzzah
then silence, crickets
soft wind
and the leaves sound like rain...

If History Were To Write Itself
if history were to write itself
its big feet it would not pen
the big mouth it would seal
its dim eyes it would brighten
and the relatives all millionaires
the parents angels and saints
homestead golden and marble
clumsy hand ever to hide
with its heart restless surely
everything could be perfect
with nothing not admirable...

Pride of Place - Piano
Four-legged guard patrols the papered wall,
Stood by whispering windowpane wind drawls
She is grand, grandiose hardwood keys small
And all across the lounge room rug, she sprawls.
Four-legged guard waltzes to the evening ball.
She dances in her homestead in A minor calls,
The acoustic pride echoes bold and tall
And the chorus chords charms the hall....

Unsung Hero
Here he lies lifeless
He whose hands had many healed
though unsung by some

Now, we cheer him home
Down his homestead, we set him
Our selfless hero!

Pain is the pleasure
of earthly patriotism...
Fame is for a time

Though the rose blossoms
on fields where good does not stay,
it withers at dusk

Kindness lives briefer
Twilight comes after sunset
All is vanity!...

Premium Member Burlap and Satin
Considered a debonair through and through I got used to the most expensive hotels. And I was catered to and pampered, that's true, oft dinning on steaks and oysters on half shells. But I fell in love with the country in you, and before I knew it, I heard wedding bells; moved to the homestead, and watched the pigs fatten, a combination of burlap and satin. Premium Member Ten Thousand Head of Cattle Die In Kansas
Folks 10000 heads of cattle have died in Kansas, and the farmers say they have never seen anything like this event even with the high heat. What is killing their cattle and it is obvious it is being orchestrated for the coming food shortage. Check out the Prepared Homestead on YouTube. Travis did a video on this travesty of cattle deaths. God bless you all... Also 97 food facillities have been destroyed since Biden took office......

Premium Member Dogs Will Not Bother These Traps
Dogs won’t bother these traps the exterminator said.
They have poison in them and they’ll make mice dead.
They snap shut with indicators of green and red.
He was their chief expert, his name was Big Fred.

He had not met our dog Buddy, who was asleep on our bed.
Buddy ate that mouse trap this evening, my husband said.
He’s thrown up his food all over our Kansas homestead.
I am angry about it and blame that pest guy, Big Fred....

Premium Member Among Hills Apache Red
Among hills Apache red
Where damas and vaqueros
Built up a homestead
Past the mercados
And hills with a vague past
Running aside the mission
Its white walls chaste
In the glow of the noontime sun
Past a dreamy mountain range
And several places where in brief
There was a Butterfield stage –
Runs a highway through my life
And whether bathed by the sun
Or a cloud of headlight glare
It continues to function
And remain my anchor....

Neighbor
A neighbor I have
a cruel tiger of life he is
every skirt is an ice-cream
a trouser he sees is a toad
models of car creep to his homestead
hooting, “I am here, buy me, buy me”
in the bank all types of currency
scream for space in his pocket
yet next door, in the streets
flies scramble over the faces
of humans sub-human in life
garbage bins suffer pains
of the finger prints of the unfortunate
who would have been aborted not born!...

Plumber Limerick
With plunger in hand Fred was called from his bed
To the homestead of Sue a sexy redhead
The water bed pouring
As hubby was snoring
Fred was fine-tuning Sue till sunrise instead

Hubby woke peckish and went down for some bread
He was still unaware yet of Sue and Fred
Fine-tuned to perfection
No fear of detection
Sang 'Move over Darling' and jumped in with Fred

Sofia’s love was like a viking as she tore apart
She grappled with her demons as she swept each basking heart
A gangster fairy tale betrothed upon her arm
A fleeting evening and a trip out of the dark
Four hundred dollar bills as token of your love
The glamour and the fame; the glitter and the game
If one could bear the grime and snare
Of the homestead that she came to bare
You would still pay for her charm...

Thanksgiving Wish
We watch leaves to ground glide,
As suddenly it’s colder and grey outside.

Gardens are put to bed,
Indoors we nest in our homestead.

Grateful for loved ones and our home,
From which now we’d rather not roam.

Time to cherish happiness and health,
For that is our true wealth.

Thanksgiving is a simple holiday,
Feast and joy without gifts and gaudy display.

Safe travels if you will wander,
While the season’s blessings you ponder....
