The Weather Forecast

The cold has returned
With sun unconcerned
The flurries arrive
To hamper our drive
The weekend’s a mess
With snow and ice I guess
Winter is still here
Will Spring ever appear?

Chill

Chillness not manageable around us
Killness not manageable around us
Both flow from top to bottom
Both always hamper toward bottom
Both are planned by top for bottom
Both can be killed by keeping warm
Both can be willed by changing our form

Pride

Pride

Pride corrupts each mind
Flies on powerful bleak wings
To perch on weak souls
Contaminates heart
Pouring venom in eye's view
Satan's evil scheme
To kill brotherhood on earth
False egos hamper
Relations beyond repair

Hopelessly Awaiting For Laundry Day

I hide
In my splintered wicker laundry hamper
Under last weeks soiled cloths
Sheltered within a warm wooden box

At first the cloths smelled of me
And later I of them
And soon hereafter
We of we

I lay there
Still and cold
In the soiled
Hopelessly Awaiting For Laundry Day

Repotting Me

Constantly is one Contacting you is keeping alive And loving you despite the distance Is a gentle rain Rapidly to dampen Loneliness that hamper and threatens Thus, energizing and maintaining Our LOVE And repotting, therefore is for existence And likens a life supporting device.

Row the Boat

R-ow the boat in the sea,
U-sing the oars in your hand;
B-ad weather may hamper
Y-ou with waves of ocean.

R-ow the boat with hope
O-f not getting crushed;
D-ay thirty-first of May,
R-eally need total trust.
I-nclement clime comes,
G-etting you sunk at will;
U-nder the salty water,
E-merge, row the boat with
Z-eal.

No Vile Weather Will Hamper

V-ile weather won't hamper,
I-t will fade into gray;
L-et the burning beacon
M-ake the storm go
A-way.

P-ouring rain from the sky
E-vades the impending victory;
R-ugged wind will weaken,
D-ark clouds will surely flee.
I-n spite of the typhoon,
G-od will always care;
O-n the fourteenth of May,
N-o vile weather will hamper.

Her Fingers Wet With Dreams

Melodic, love's voice when,
She sings for you....
Images we dream ivory's, silken beauty..
Soaked of desire's perfumed, panty's; a gift
Once more placed perfectly atop, seduction's clothes hamper
Sweet, moist and my lips: deeper, into our love an earthquake's molten,
Lava while there she was so, beautiful a kiss..Her, naked body...two hearts, hypnotized.

Love of Thee and Me

Love of Thee and Me

To seek the wisdom and confront
All the cruelties that abound
But not to challenge tit for tat
Or a vicious echo will resound
And hamper what the Gods have taught
Love yourself in a Zen mode
For milk and honey is the cure
Reducing anger to a spore

The Ten Commandments

The Ten Commandments

1. Don't pick your scabs.
2. Don't put anything in your ear except your elbow.
3. Pee before you go to bed.
4. Pick up your dirty clothes and put them in the hamper.
5. Finish everything on your plate.
6. Did you say please?
7. Wash behind your ears.
8. Chew with your mouth closed.
9. Clean your room.
10. Do what I say not what I do.

Itsy Bitsy Death

Itsy Bitsy spider went up the wall of shower.
Itsy Bitsy spider, grabbed with piece of paper.
Itsy Bitsy spider was placed in toilet water.
Itsy Bitsy spider, wished he was in hamper.
Itsy Bitsy spider was now stuck in the crapper.
Itsy Bitsy spider went down in swirling water.
To take a shower, with an Itsy Bitsy spider,
Was not going to happen, upon any hour,
Without any cower, she finished her shower.

Baby, You Make Me Blue

just one little moment, out of your day
a few seconds, not even that
something that would have taken away my gray
baby, you make me blue

just one little thought, just for me
a few words penned, auto posted
telling me you care, even if you don't
baby, you make me blue

it all piles up, like undone laundry
the hamper overflows, waiting for wash day
one brief line, two words, nothing more
baby, you make me blue

It Never Ends

Water, water everywhere
And all the dishes in sink.
Mud tracks smeared everywhere
Wiped away to return in a wink.

Food, food so much to make
Breakfast, lunch, supper.
Just diet, for God’s sake
Plus, you’re such a lousy tipper.

Heaps and heaps in the hamper
Sweaters, hoodies and jeans.
Every day it’s a damper
Walking into these monstrous scenes.

Inspired by the "ruined" first line of Samuel Taylor Coleridge's The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

Love In Brevity

It’s a gift so precious –
that as followers of Christ
we’re bonded in His name;
united in love, love for the Church,
his enduring legacy.

Each has a role,
a mission to fulfill,
along with difficulties
that hamper the way –
Christ, our Savior still prevails.

His initiative to call
through life’s experiences;
generates meaning and
reason for existence.
His message echoes –
‘love one another as I have loved you,’
the greatest of all,
as our gift for Him.

Summer holiday

The summer holidays are here! Time to relax and unwind. Let's head for the beach, build sandcastles, ride on donkeys and paddle in the sea. The golden sun is shining - No clouds are in sight. We apply coconut scented lotion then lay on beach towels taking care not to burn! We unpack our picnic hamper onto a huge tartan rug. There’s lots of delicious treats food gets eaten very quickly - we’re wary of pesky seagulls!

Buzzing Bees

Buzzing bees that always pass by
You don't even understand why
You don't know them and they don't know you
They don't know what you're going through

You don't understand what's their problem
Honestly, you don't even mind them
You can't remember meeting them, even once
You may not even do if you had the chance

For haters, you do not like
They try to hamper your way to hike
They're like humps on you're tranquil way
That try to block the light of your day

Ode To New White Socks

Cotton fields White to harvest Untouched by red clay Trash, sediment Banked white snow Fluffy Not visited By neighborhood dogs Right out of the pack The scent of clean, Soft cotton Dry and warm Slip one on, then two Encapsulate the feet Like clean silver fog Coats each tree Ten hours later There's dirt, stink Old shoe leather stains Then tossed into hamper No longer new No longer clean No longer white Just dirty old socks

Lack

Giving wander to profane
indifference as some life might claim
and being not of faith's exchange
I look away, as if restrain
did hamper my concern in plain
regard, no upset, no explain!

And word of honor seems mundane
agreeable but all in vain!
God sense my fault, in thee proclaim
amend not agitation's strain.
Accuse my mourning's breached complain
intact of wordless cause' constrain.

With bench less lack, not righteous, lame ~
plead love, as justice for thy name!

Basket, Bag Or Hamper

The hamper of my youth was built
Into the bathroom wall.
You got undressed and tossed your clothes
Next to the shower stall.

When I left home, a laundry bag
Held items for the wash,
As much as in a canvas sack
Your arms could cram or squash.

Today a wicker basket
Is where clothing sits and waits
‘Til the day it’s overflowing
‘Cause of what accumulates.

Be it basket, bag or hamper,
Take a glance and you’ll know when
You must empty out the contents
Just to fill it once again.
