Rising from dunes of despair after desert storm of strife,
I gather in the vase of quietude the strewn shards of life.

despite neighbors angry rants

it is time you quit

Storm

 tanka

Nature grumbles
trimming the trees
disgruntled homeowners
gather in much disarray

Flight To Dusk....

Half moon hovers over Mt. Rainer
as a not yet setting sun
begins to pull the shades
Ravens gather in their ready
daily journey winged too roost....

People gather in the crimson heat
For summer adventures when they meet.
Their chaos release,
But I like my peace
Writing in my poetry book - sweet!

Like the poles on magnet ends north and south alikes shun, unalikes beckon, engage, bind. While likes gather in flocks, seeing self clones repels shuns

Prefect Peace In His Presence

springbuck and redtail deer
while
the
spirit of God draws near
we
shall
gather in the clearing
to
worship and praise
the
Almighty God
at last
perfect peace in his presence

cob webs gather in the quiet corner
congregating mind dust
adhering to the vacant synapses
vibrating in the heat of random thought.

Premium Member GIRL WITH FLOWERS

Petals gather in her hands, a hush of color cupped like breath;
sunlight leans across her face, tender as a secret kept close;
in her stillness blooms a truth—beauty is what the heart remembers.

Setting of the Oz Moon

So, as the Crazy Train hits the last stop
down that long Randy Rhode,
let's gather in the dining car,
put a fork in the War Pig,
 and feast on bat heads.
               RIP Prince of Darkness.

The Loft

as the sun moves through the leafy fields so do I wish to gather in slow down fashion and enter the cashmere loft of a flower even if it were for just one hour...

Driven by pure intuition, One last covert mission.
The car is in place, My heart is replaced.
A bit too late, A note seals our fate.
Thunderstorms gather in my brain, I shall never love you again.

Under the Milky Way

Milky way spiral horizon,
purple midnight scattered with diamonds.

Bursting Nebula's sting my eyes.
Orbiting planets will soon collide.

Stars gather in a whimsical bouquet,
while solar winds carry me away.

Bear

Bear

A pair of bears together
Gather in for a cuddle
A bear with a pear
And a bear with a ladle
One real and one not
One eats and one not

A still life and a life, the pair
Both giving a bear hug forever.

Little Black Boxes Iv

These objects are my blood and bone

they gather in my dark history a voyage

through turbulent sea and tyrannical lands

I hide ornate things as all resonate in time

echoing in my little black boxes…

One Piece

gatherings in nuances
aching pain in numbnes
sense of gravity falls
mountains of ice melts
raised to wash lands

in between winds and tides
Lets gather in high note
inmortal wave once a hero
as making one piece

Special Words

SPECIAL WORDS

Animals have their special words
Birds don’t gather in herds
Hippy-fox sex doesn’t happen in a fox-in
Oxen don’t gather in flocks-en
But whales do gather in schools

. . . . And raindrops do gather in pools
Form: Verse

Breaking Through

Sometimes …
there’s one poem
that opens your mind
And clears out
the cobwebs
that gather in kind
The words
defy entropy
 speaking as one
And pushing you
forward
— their mission is done

Premium Member Freedom's Pub

A misty fog shrouds the valley
they gather in the freedom pub
tattered olive-green memories
fear laid waste by valor
tears denied their proper time
ghosts that rue the passing
of every soldier’s night.

Lightning Storm

bolts of lightning
crackle
through
gray-blue clouds
the
wind howls,
uplifting
the roof of
the
old red barn
as
the
sleepy cottonwoods
gather in
for
this storm
Lord,
provide them
with shelter
but
keep them from harm

Lonely Is the Wire

Lonely is the wire where no bird comes to rest it's feet, as if the message once flown to you, is numbered incomplete. How does love live lively in the flight upon their wings, throughout the barrier of love between to gather in the light
That love it brings.

The New God

They gather in cathedral clinics,
(with virtuoso grin)
scientists in robes of white.
Pretentious keepers of a new race,
their will shall be a will that mimics;
Manipulating the gene pool's base
in halls white-washed of sin,
not as God, but as God might...
