Freedom's Pub

A misty fog shrouds the valley
they gather in the freedom pub
tattered olive-green memories
fear laid waste by valor
tears denied their proper time
ghosts that rue the passing
of every soldier’s night.

I liked this, John. Short and sweet but packing a powerful message!
