Chemical Ghosts
Riding on the crisp sunset
Horizons all banished
The future witholds its frozen escape
A banshee template
China in the furlough
Riding breathless with chemical ghosts...

Premium Member We All Have Devices
We all have devices the eight-year-old happily said.
My whole family plays them through supper until time for bed.
Video games? Sure! I play Farmer Fruity Furlough Fred.
No communication with my family and no books are read....

Autumn's Furlough
Slow dance weather’s well
Faded leaf kicks last hurrah
work done coming home...

Lazy Days
Let the cold, integral to fall
Allow a furlough from life’s gall
Zapped of heat, my water love lost
Yielding to blankets, dark accosts…

Days mist like ghosting memories
All wrapped warm, swaddled in stories
Yet, outside forces beat and knock…
So wish to hibernate, doors locked!

(12/12/21)...

Vampire Desire (Footle)
One bite
So right

My soul
Control

I feed
Indeed

Vampire
Souls fire

I bite
Tonight

Soul gone
No con

We need
One seed

For now
I vow

To bleed
In deed

Sorrow
Furlough

Tonight
My sight

Brings peace
Release

One goal
Free soul

Forth night
Day light

We die
No lie...

Enthusiasm
pandemonium
erupts when he comes
home from deployment;
soldier on furlough.

Swiftly bum-rushed
by wife and kids,
which took him by
surprise indeed!

His dog, "Chooks,"
joined in, too
Family...

of five
sure missed...

Dad.

Note:This form, which I have labelled 'plus1' in the verse section starts with one
letter, increasing each by one line with just one letter,ie 1:2:3:4:5: etc. With an integral
title. My example is a linked sequence of two 'plus1'.A variation might be a reverse sequence
1;2;3;4;5;5;4;3;2;1 or perhaps to start with a word of two letters ie 2;3;4;5;6....

Money a Cruel Agent 3
A pink small sparrow
Comes at my halo
And grants me furlough
To travel through hollow;
I do after her lonely flow
But at my trail many glow
With expectation inflow
Of Money red or yellow.
It made me strong fellow,
From yesterday to tomorrow,
Who travels lonely and slow
By using a wheelbarrow.
No friend or enemy allow
Me to enter in his furrow.
So ye decide judiciously now
And choose relatives or sparrow....

Wonder if they know…
Just how hard my family works

“Furlough Days” as they like to call it
A cut in pay as we like to call it…..

Here nor there, there are lots of little quirks…..

Now the budgets in trouble again, let’s make them pay

And pay

And pay again!

No more furloughs they said
(As cheers roar through the crowd) “Whhoohoo”
We will just make them pay for their PEBB…..
That’s what we dread...
