I Eye
I can never mean an eye
You can never see me in my eyes
For they have a full time job
On the faces of others rather than mine
They can see outside better than home
I wish my eyes could see the real me
Before that I of yours invaded the flat above my nose...

Young Uns
I am the stereotype of a middle-age lady with grey hair
Working as a preschool teacher

Wearing mumu dresses in bright colors

A Sunday school teacher wanting to make it a full-time job

To whittle myself a new profession

I'm not the brightest crayon in the box
But, I know I can do it!...

trapped in this exscluded place
no where to call home
or even a place that is safe
left abondend disowned

No one to turn too
outside in the cold
but what can i do?
no to hug or hold

so here i am all alone
no place left tp go
im just looking for a place called home
so im on my own at a full time low...

CAROUSEL

carousel
this familiar tune
sounds so weird

merry go round?
no!
this thing off by itself

carousel
every full time round
this odd face

carousel
choo choo whistles
frightening dissonance

carousel
off by itself
timeless riders

carousel
out of time
distant coaster rumbles

Full-Time Love
A-im to show full-time love
B-efore the Almighty's sight;
B-ecause it will truly set
Y-our faith and hope aright.

F-ull-time love of the heart
E-agerly warms each day;
L-ife on October thirtieth
I-s blessed neath the skyway.
C-omplete the harmony
I-n the world watched from above;

Dancing
Twirly, swirly, all around
dancing is fun,
that’s what I have found!

Up, down, touch the ground
dancing makes me giggle,
Oh! How I love the sound.

Dancing frees the soul
don’t hold back,
just let it all go!

Take a stroll
let your feet dance,
and lose control.

Dance and have a good time
having fun
doesn’t cost a dime!

Part-time or full-time
dancing is fun,
all the time!...

Part-Time Poet
I've done some horrid things
that others admire
and find but few
of life's conjectures
with which I am in harmony
my grand planned path to happiness
abandoned mid-draft
favoring another specious endeavor
the sought-after solution
only solving the equation
for the moment in which it made sense,
still,
in both it's common usages,
my life not a waste
full-time a fool
and part-time poet...

Lockdown-47th Day
No reproductive center of the words in pen
I feel the words being born in the ovary of
mind
Mind conceives the thoughts

In full time of pregnancy the thoughtful mind
giving birth
the words in the natural earth of literature

Now the earth
Burning furnace globe sphere
Sun warming swallowing the all words in
hungry time
My inside killing itself on the door of death to
rebirth another sunny words

Growing Old
This grown up stuff gets more complex
than the super ego and the id
We never have much time for sex
I don't know how we ever did

Full time schedules
Traffic is always hell
No matter how much we scream and yell
We are running on fumes and the mirror tells
I'm at my wits end,
I live for the weekends

Wake up late, drink some tea
I turn off our phones
I pray no one wakes me
I don't want t.v.
I don't want food to eat.
I just want to sleep...

Cheap Furniture Repair
She reaches,
Uncrontrablly,
For my Heart.

But this diatribe
is Missing now.

And unlike you,
I can't self-repair
Without a set of
Instructions.

So bold, so feverish,
I retreat into a coma

Protecting myself
from this poison.

Not easy and
A full time job, girl.

So you sat the sunrise
Out this round, but
I can't agree anymore.

Premium Member Delusional Cowboy
For years, desire,
Was punctuated with excuse,
And resentment,
Became a full time resident
In his thoughts.

Age left him feeling
Like a malcontent,
Floundering through life shadowing
Love's Portion.

The years he envisioned as his
Had been long pilfered,
By inattention and neglect;

His decent years, now remote,
He visions through a haze;
Remorseful feelings by himself

He knew changed nothing,
For yesterdays are unforgiving,
And time respects no person....

Premium Member Loot
I’m daughtering in place and it’s a full time job.
I'm a posable figurine, like a barbie for my mom.
She's been shopping in a frenzy, to fill the empty hours.
I think we have an Amazon truck dedicated to our house.
I needed another closet so we took my sister's room
It looks like a Dior outlet-store or maybe King Tut's tomb.
"I think you've gotten carried away," I said to her last night.
Looking at all the loot arranged, she said, "you may be right."...

A Bombing of Recollection
Furiously clacking away
At a tiny keyboard,
One parent computer-sentry,
The other a full time zone away.
When I manage to sneak a second,
Looking at all the contests
I would never have a chance
To enter, I wonder:
What is a blitz?
And thus spawned a small ditty,
Albeit a quick one,
On life, death, and the keeping of memories.
Almost a month later did I receive my first and only accolade.
