this familiar tune
sounds so weird

merry go round?
no!
this thing    off by itself

carousel
every full time round
this odd face

carousel
choo choo whistles
frightening dissonance

carousel
off by itself
timeless riders

carousel
out of time
distant coaster rumbles

carousel
different time
different place
