gully of water
trickle down, forming fissures…
dried flowers thirst quenched
Contest: Nature Comes To Life
2nd Place
Haiku 15

I’ve not accepted
Losing for fear that it might
Be habit forming.
When will it rain?
Rush to the river
Igloos forming
Throughout summer
Enter the main stage
Remain there and reminisce
Nothing found
Nothing gained
Nothing verntured
Nothing sane
Nothing more
Nothing less
Nothing forming
Nothing Bess
A four-leaf clover
Is such a blessing to find,
For it resembles
Two hearts coming together,
Forming a new frame of mind.
grains of dew
forming a softening glaze
falling tediously
from your hairline
freshly stocked
unabashed stare of longing
A
lot of
people cry
when peeling
onions; the trick is
in not forming
such a strong
emotional
bond
Dawn in the forest,
tiny rainbow like sunrays
forming light spectrum,
an untrodden snowy path
waiting for my first foot print.
flakes, like feathers, drifting down
forming a rug at my feet
cold and crisp the air around
winter's first taste ... sweet
A storm of
Black and white butterflies
Dancing the waltz
Forming ringlets around the moon
Fluttering through the patches of light
Whining
dried eye sockets from
imaginary losses
conceived in the mind
spilled tears in the murky soil
forming ripples in the mud
silver beams dancing
gently casting deep shadows
that seduce senses
icy waters plunge
steeply down into the lake
forming long ripples
goldfinches feeding
many yellow and black stripes
bunches of finches
forming a single creature
a yellow jacketed wasp
see the wasp devouring
Forming alliances
Lest you forget friendships bought
Aren't friendships forged
And those smiles are not for you
But the weight of coins on you
Night
Dark, Beautiful
Wishing, Shining, Reflecting
Moon, Stars, Clouds, Sun
Rising, Appearing, Forming
Bright, Peaceful
Day
before the ink dries
the mind is racing ahead
forming the next thought
crystallizing the abstract
old before it can be penned
Winter's first snowflake
Gently falls upon my tongue
Nature melts with-in
Icicles forming
Growing swords to frozen mounds
Freeze pops of nature
crisp brittle stillness
severely cheerless moonface
celestial sapphire sky
starry frost forming
crystalline icy embrace
shivering aspens quiver
weaving of life
life is a patch work of thread
life is woven from threads of time
each patch, forming our tapestry
until time runs out of thread.
My one cup of coffee today
was not worth what I paid
It put me to sleep the whole morning
~ Caffeine sure is bad-habit-forming
under the water
cramped forming
protected fence
limb buds spurt
attached to the chord of love
nourished by the red blood
we swim in the sack of life
Form:
Art
is a dance on the canvas
in the falling rainbow snow
as blue goes here and red over there
forming a garden
that embodies the meaning of inspiration
The puzzle is scattered
Slowly, I connect the pieces
Little by little the picture is forming
Will it look the way I wish
I'm working on it
We shall see
In a big bag sat, groceries bought
A tight knot tied, in the said bag got
All fell to the floor
When the bottom tore
To show, forming the knot was for naught!

The ego places itself on a pedestal,
forming a personality
separate from the oneness of life.
