drift softly in autumn’s breath

Sailors Beware
Brightly shining light

Forewarning of some danger

Guiding sailors home....

Listen to poem:
Brilliant start will depart
with storm, tempest fermenting.
Red at dusk fomenting,
brewing, red sky delight!
Cheers folks! Let's party!...

Banshee
Red embers of floating sins
Shuffled tectonic plates beneath like a leaf on a spin
Stark raiment query to the forewarning
Numb to the smoke when purloined hubris as second skin
Nefarious stipulation with life's pregnant mysteries, than drama visible on tube, will roost the din...

Agog, I in flutter, in love, first sight
Eyes all rapt, locked up, in fixed stare, glaring
Smitten by beauty, enraptured my plight,
Could not draw my eyes away, despairing
That this love adorning was forewarning
Of frustration, fraught with disappointment
Looming up inevitably, not meant....

Lots of Bottles
A million plus blue bottles
washed up upon a shore

Each and every one with still
a sting in it's tentacles

And gasping for air

And along for the ride rode
a single blue bottle with a
message inside

Forewarning of the danger of
bottling thing's up

For fear of being told by other's
 to shut up...

Listen to poem:
The swell is rising,
furrowing the brow of seascape,
forewarning of storm arising.
Sheer bliss for surfers,
toil and trouble incising
ferment and foreboding
on sailor's foreheads, glistening,
with the spray and froth flung
from wave-top manes breaking,
off from white horses on the bay prancing.

"The Ghosts of All Those Lost Tomorrows"

voiceless Munch seen laughing
when all the ghosts of those lost tomorrows
come stampeding into dreams
like a forewarning, carrying the colours
of their ever changing empathy

jokes
seen through
kaleidoscopes

of dead others

Premium Member A Spring Forewarning
Take care, fellow, that you not a cuckold be, for spring is in the air; the cuckoo sings! Woo your wife and treat her tenderly. Flirtatious whims can blossom into flings; a woman left alone might test her wings!
Note: A cuckold is someone whose wife has cheated on him. For Francine Robert's Contest: Wow Me in Five Lines

Poetically Inclined Delusions
She's the closer in her
   own intangible talent,
came upon an absurd
   assumption she
might be a poet, merely
 discernible as conveyed
  ill-drifting imagination
betwixt dispersed antagonism
    and magniloquent coercion,
her mediocre existence aced cliché
 vanquished 'neath forewarning
   zephyrs amidst wildflowers on fire
     & half-forgotten frothy seascapes,
   furthermost poetically fated delusions...

Dance? she said
let the moves
grip your mind
bury the words
burning roads
on your tongue
in a deep kiss
tattoo mine
instead

a promise forewarning
I give this to thee

I will take you
before morning

amuse
mystery

Emerald leaves of summer quickly disappear
Autumn arrives as days draw short
Leaves dance in the soft blowing breeze
As multi colored visions now appear
Waltzing ()~()

          ()~() ()~()
They cascade to the ground
Twirling into disarrayed heaping mounds
Signalling the closure to the seasons warmth
Autumn becomes laden with frosty mornings
Forewarning of the up coming winter ***snow***....

Tic... In just this moment
(adjusted for time)
its movements drift forward and toward a tic then toc with trending motions set ever correct with its ticking tock sound
its now
then and then
past tense
again and ever again moving with perpetual motion tick
ever swerving to someplace,
tock
casting shadows
sweeping hands course a forewarning
of what is to come.
toc, tic toc, tic and still with all the tics and tocs
its just this moment as always....
