flip flop, beach, sun,
Hot sand and bare feet
A long way back to the car
Run fast as you can...
flip flop, adventure, family, holiday, imagination, nature, places, sea,
broken flip flop rests
outside sandy castle walls
perhaps, the clouds break
flip flop, political,
wear political flip flops
John G. Lawless
flip flop, on writing and words
In my Haikus
Weeping clouds debuts
Shaped like flip flop shoes

Dodo Can't Do It Sue
flip flop, bird,
Dodo has wings but can't fly.
Flimflam wings flip flop flutter,
Flapping flimsy flight feathers
Fails to get lift off...
Limerick In Focus
flip flop, humorous,
All other than serious verse, bogus;
He doesn’t believe in any hocus- pocus.
Ideals! He’d never drop;
But see the funny flip- flop,
Finally, limerick is his focus.
flip flop, fun,
Spin a top
Feel a drop
Taste the rain
What a pain

flip flop, introspection, uplifting,
The dull clack of flip-flop slaps,
describes the taste of my water--
The smell of unscented candles,
like last night's forgotten dream--
Never cease my heart's percussion.

flip flop, snow,
flip flop, friendship,
Judith S... my latest heartthrob in the group
She crosses my eyes, my heart does loops
Tickles my teeter totter
Call me a naughty plotter
But one day gonna flip flop in her delicious Soup
A bitter flip flop
flip flop, birth,
Life, a mount, full of rage,
What a path, like a cage,
Earth, a ball, on the fish,
Mute and silence, wish
Slippy, fickle back, like a ray,
What a ride, milky way!
Fishy ball, on the horn
On the fish we all born.
Love in Binary Whirled
flip flop, love,
flip flop, adventure, sound, spring,
Flip flop sundrop
Slurp salerp, lollipop
Clinging, clangy rain
Rally tallie, klump
Palump arump, a drain
Eee wee fleed
Ddown around a mound
Fillie, Wilkie and me
Skip, slip and slide
Plop drop popp slop, inside...
UPSIDE DOWN WORLD
flip flop, funny, silly, word play,
Flip flop look what’s landed on top
Straight out of the barbershop
Bald head’s a bowling ball
Leg up high for aerial
Come swift stumbling to a full stop

flip flop, funny, imagination, life
a steady beating cadence
most annoying at times
whether from a distance
worse yet,when fast approaching
gives one cause to grit their teeth
until the noise moves on
becoming more and more silent
with each progressing
Little hearts soar
flip flop, easter,
Easter bunny hops
Beautifully crafted creations
Glorious sun rises
Children seek surprises
Little hearts soar
Send up thanks and prayers
Celebrate how deeply our Savior cares
The Hex Mark
flip flop, 10th grade, 11th grade, 12th grade, 6th
Like the beauty hidden beneath the brook
It’s the simple dimples that make me smile
Or is it the drop of a drip
Off an old black bear’s back
As he chases the flip flop
Of a Brook Trout
Or is that the Big Brown
As he marks the beginning of the Hex hatch.

flip flop, cinderella,
o man amen club soda you taste good at two in the morning
i am going back to my dreams and tomorrow earl gray
or I'll switch to coffee with toast
all my life I twirled a question and so I peel a banana
and squeeze an avocado good night after a pee
looking for flip flop where are my sandals or sundial
as not einstein I have an accent...
flip flop, change,
By lakeside path
Breeze strays enough
Wind hurls dry leaves
As gifts to give
I walk on by
Attend to sighs
A stray thought finds
Sans peace of mind
A lone tear drop
Ends my flip-flop
I come to meet
The fear I greet
No much is said
With silence paid

Hot City Days
flip flop, city, summer, water,
Hot City Days
Hot city days
in bricks of concrete
and flip flop feet.
Just keep cool
in a hydrant pool.
The block’s a bash
if kids can splash.
Great water fun
in scorching sun
can bring a smile
to any child.
Grown-ups look on
as though they long
to drench in droves
right in their clothes.
Just Another Day Closer
flip flop, art, baby, cancer, love,
I do not know?
Flip flop drip drop: show us your coin
Whose image and superscription hath it ?
JFK: well, give unto he what is his but, give to
God, their moon as stars the world it's fullness for
All of truth most assuringly belongs, in Beauty's bosom
Although tis quite apparent that many here about babylon....
Serve platters garnished while filling up yes, one another's bellies....
flip flop, sadheart, heart,
I do not know?
On that cold night
my heart did sink,
I was the only one standing weak.
my heart went flip-flop, flip-flop
while he spoke,
that was the end of you and me.
He said, "I wasn't good enough."
I asked, "why?"
He said, "'cause you're a liar,"
my heart died.
3 years of my life
I dedicated to him.
On our wedding day
he did this sin.

RAID OF THE FLEAS
flip flop, games, insect,
A toddler’s heels wham… flip flop flip flop
Annoyed by the sound that runs non-stop,
Dad grabs a plug to cover his ears
While an army of fleas seem to appear
Invading pet cat as child squirts a hose,
“I must declare, it’s a raid...I suppose”
As father throws kitty out the door,
Son plays with bug gadgets...toys' galore!
Judy Konos' I Do Declare Contest

flip flop, angst, heart,
My heart keeps on beating
But it almost stopped yesterday
As it went on its own race
On the side of the highway
Now, I am thankful to be home
Safe again, but work doesn’t stop
If only I could get a break
To rest with no more heart flip flop
Now, all is quiet in the twilight
I watch the sky change for now
The air is cold, but the house is warm
Everything will work out somehow
A Flip Flop
flip flop, child, spring,
A Flip Flop
Shuffling through the dandelions,
Partly hidden in the grass I find,
A little flip flop too soon worn,
Rushing spring, and all its signs.
A tiny girl playing hide and seek,
A doll under one arm, I saw her run,
Little feet got cold, even numb,
Oblivious, she was having fun.
I take the flip flop to her house,
Her mother thanking me so,
I hear a cough, see a wet dress hanging,
Little girl has her first spring cold.
