upwards to a sky of cloud,
like a tablecloth unrolled
for feasting bees buzzing loud.

Is joblessness?
Soul searching endlessly

On treacherous quagmire
A pact has been made
No feasting on human blood

I'm not surprised you're greedy,
On fresh hearts feasting;
Planning a different fate,
Mine won't be served on a plate
Yummy old "Nathan's" hot dogs
Just the dogs and buns
Good dogs snap when you bite them
So dip in water

A field in winter
frosted with fresh-fallen snow
cloaks the mole, mouse, and magpie
hunting in hunger.
The hawk swoops down with keen eye
to crash the feasting party.
I am a Father
A father of two
One an Angel,
The other an Imp (devil).
The Angel starves
And is waxed lean
But every second, the imp fattens
Feasting on my violence.
Melting his frozen heart means penetrating with words so loving,
So the steam of his pain begins healthily releasing.
So someday again we'll be together at a table feasting.
There was a cat who used up her lives of nine

hanging on trees in daylight~

at morning sunshine
wastage and garbage on ground~
harvest hopes shattered.

fire building,
flint colliding,
sparks flying,
smoke growing,

men sleeping.

checking Henry's traps for claws
Up government cut
down tarpon creek
Night-winds cool
my sunburnt mind

listening for Bum Farto
Less turkey bones to trash
