Notes About The Poem

Written 18th December 2025

A Feline Feast

There was a cat who used up her lives of nine
Feasting upon caviar and mulled wine
She went out like a light
On Christmas Eve night
And her owner passed away the same time.

I read recently that cats have differing numbers if lives in different parts if the world. Cats are such curious creatures. I'm a big fan of our feline friends!
