Sing Us a Stanza
Sing Us A Stanza

We want someone to sing us a stanza
About when we entered an extravaganza
Forgot child support;
Spend a day in court;
After trying to find a big bonanza.

Premium Member The Peccadilloes of Life
Life can be a symphonic bonanza,
A philharmonic extravaganza,
A choral sunrise,
And an orchestrated surprise,
A conducted ecstasy,
An instrumental epiphany,
These are the peccadilloes of life,
The crescendo of my eternity....

Apple brought culture,
delightful extravaganza.
Fab group
harvest idiomatic jive.
Knockers, louts
many neutrals,
organized parasites, quietly rebel,
submit to uncompromising venom
when expediency yielded zealousness!

Bonanza
'Twas a Sunday extravaganza,
To eat dinner, watching Bonanza.
     Hoss’s plight so intense,
     That my state of suspense,
I cannot describe in one stanza!

Fireworks
In the darkness, extravaganza,
Flaming, blazing drama,
Sky rockets and sparklers,
So spectacular,
Fireworks in my brain,
Flaming illumination,
Catherine wheels,
Are you for real?
The pyrotechnics
Was it all a squib?
Crescendo..
To diminuendo...

I float down from clouds above,
Another little death of love........

SILHOUETTE (3/23) — PARADOX

Rainy discourse
Monsoon extravaganza;
Flash of insight

~~~~~
Stern voice
Knows deep poise
Maps pure choice
Watch joy sing
With kind fling
Charm thrills
Heart that wills
As mind heals
Feel good grace
Flood this space
Premium Member Ghost of a Chance
A tombstone cleaning workshop—
don’t bother the ghost…it’s sold out!
You can no longer finger this rest stop.
How about this Halloween turnout!
Will it be a Poppins extravaganza,
sweeping and polishing to Step in Time?
It’s a grave matter to the living, who plans a
cleaning party— the chance of a lifetime.
FOUR CUBED
FOUR CUBED
Four words a line,
Four lines a stanza.
Four of these comprise
Ms. Hawley’s next extravaganza.
Three words won’t satisfy;
Five are too numerous.
And, one more condition,
She’d like it humorous.
That’s two verses done
And I’ve barely commenced.
It’s not my nature
To write lines condensed.
But, if she insists,
I’ll follow her law.
Sixty one, sixty two,
Sixty three, sixty four.
Premium Member Has Your Mother Ever Met You
I need a little bit of color in the kitchen, I lied.
My husband laughed.
He knows that I do not “do” little.
I tore it up, and redid it from top to bottom.
It went from dull, blah, ordinary brown and beige to an extravaganza.
“I would never be bold enough to try this!” my cousin said.
“Why did you do it?” asked me mother.
She thrives on brown and beige.
“Has your mother ever met YOU?” my husband asked after she left....
Premium Member Nothing To Fear
We never know when death will come,
so I cast my worries aside.
When I first heard the news, my heart went numb,
and then the diagnosis I denied.
Finally acceptance came as I cried.
Sands are pouring through the hourglass,
but faith now saves me from fear.
The beauty of heaven waits and I have a pass.
At God’s plan, I will not sneer
as I prepare to approach a blessed frontier.
