Bonanza

'Twas a Sunday extravaganza,
To eat dinner, watching Bonanza.
     Hoss’s plight so intense,
     That my state of suspense,
I cannot describe in one stanza!

Pernell Roberts was on there for a couple of seasons, but he proved to be quite a demanding comedogen. Always demanded more money and more dialogue! Soon after he started his own series Trapper John MD, which lasted about one season. Rumor has it he now manages a Starbucks in Bakersfield, but not sure!

Thank you Robert. I appreciate your read. Iknow you meant no disrespect to Pernell Roberts. It just that he was as a difficult character to write for, with those larger than life stars around him. Best - Ken

LOVED this show. My family and I made a huge deal out of it with big bowl of popcorn that all ten of us ran to dip our small bowls into during commercial breaks. BIG congrats. one of the best on the winner list.

Joe put together an entertaining contest, didn't he? OMG, I wanted to try to work in all the characters but with 5 lines, it was too much, so I focused on Hoss. I'm glad you liked it. If he does it again I'm goint to do Dobie Gillis!

Enjoyed your limerick.I grew up watching Bonanza as well.I always wondered how old Ben was killing off those wives. As an adult I was at my brothers one evening and an episode came on.He turned down the sound and made up the script as we watched the story play out.a lot of fun.
