Hen For Gwen
Hen for Gwen

Once knew a lady named Gwen
was so short about three-ten
couldn't tie her shoes
she drank wicked booze
now she's eaten an old hen.

Premium Member Sweet Shamrock Song
Sweet shamrocks I love you, you are my favorite thing!
Evie collected them from an old fashioned swing
They filled up her lap and made her laugh go ting-a-ling.
St. Paddy’s day made her happy, causing her voice to sing....

A Fine State of Affairs
A Fine State of Affairs

A fine state of affairs
Leads to walking upstairs

A long endless tunnel
I have to find funnel

A fine state of affairs
Don’t want to find bears lair

Now I’m finding my own
Into another zone

A fine state of affairs
Happy to be aware

Need the love of children
May adopt eleven

I’m finally aware
A fine state of affairs.

Online Dating Failure Number 1
Tim is tall. Handsome.
Works in an office.
Like all of the others
he looks kind of polished.
They say small talk is dead.
So I ask for a date.
The chat's a bit stale so
I just tell him straight:

"I'm not really that pretty,
I'm not particularly smart
But I can love you with all of
my sad, sad heart."

I can see the fear and flight
in the face of sweet Tim
Online dating's like a fairytale...
it's bloody grim.

Sitting At Twilight Time
Sitting At Twilight Time

I appreciate the pale light of the eventide
when shades of darkness wrap arms around me
oh so sweet to hear the birds evening song

they are all settling in their nightfall nests
In the evening of days and tis' at dusky time
for now, I'm pondering thoughts by candlelight

I appreciate the pale light of the eventide
with an exotic fine glass of fine wine
I thus hear a hooting owl in the great outdoors.

Auntie Said
This actually had happened many, many years ago to my eldest sister.
Oh my, what children should not hear, for they instantly repeat what some
adults say.

Auntie Said

My grand-daughter called her grandpa chrome-dome
now Sue don't call him names just leave alone
Grannie, I just heard what Auntie said
now I have to put Auntie to bed
Grannie, Auntie's singing grandpa's chrome-dome
Grannie, Auntie's singing grandpa's chrome-dome.

A Weeping Willow Tree
A Weeping Willow Tree

I feel like a Weeping Willow Tree, a Weeping Willow Tree
See all my limbs swaying every which way to see
My beautiful sis has gone and left poetry soup
She's gone for good and found a Christian group
I feel like a Weeping Willow Tree, a Weeping Willow Tree
She keeps telling me she's much happier and so free
Evie has found her real niche in her life
She now is writing full force with no strife
I'm still feeling like A WEEPING WILLOW TREE.
