It's My Life
If there was one thing,

the one thing I could say…

Is let me live my life,

my life in my own way!

The Pianist
Agility flows
through the fingers;
gently dancing upon
those black and whites,
like graceful ballerinas
performing the music
of her soul.

Heartache
A heart is still;
no pulse,
just a glimmer
of passion
which quivers,
longing for a spark
to rekindle the heart
so it may beat
in rhythm
once again.

Airbrushed
So thin,
with perfect hair
and flawless skin.

Arms and thighs
are just
the right size.

No lumps, rolls,
dimples
or moles.

This has to be
a fake image
I see.

Stuck
Living,
yet not looking forward
just back and forth in thought;
should I or should I not
set myself free
or
live in complete dismay
stuck in this emotional sway.

Spirit Adrift
The rapids
of emotions
have flooded
a heart,
drowning her love
into an abyss
of darkness;
all that is left
are the gentle
drifting ripples
of a once,
passionate soul.

Wisdom
I am only what I know
from what I have heard,
what I have seen
and what I have yet to learn.
This insight,
with the lessons to come
makes me who I am;
who I will be.

A Bright Future
The fallen leaves
of yesterday;
scattered and gone
but not forgotten,
as their colourful brilliance
forever paint
our memories,
lighting the way
for the new blossoms
of tomorrow.

Saddened Mind
Passed by every sunrise
Flowers, when in bloom
All the autumn colours
For living in the gloom

All memories now lost
Nothing to retain
Gone with the past
While standing in the rain

A Soul's Fantasy
The warmth
of a summer dream
shines tenderly,
as
red petals of love
blanket a soul;
thawing
the bitter chill
about
her heart
and
revives this spirit
with
passion and love
before
she awakens.

Your Shadow
Your Shadow...
Is dark in colour
Like black but duller
Comes and goes
Shrinks and grows

When around
It makes no sound
And whatever you do
It follows too

So when it’s near
Have no fear
It’s always there
Cause you’re a pair

Frozen Heart
A women's heart
awaits dormant,
as a red glow
of passion
emits softly
through the ice crystals
of her tears;
secretly dreaming
that someday,
the gentle touch
of a tender soul
will warm
her frozen heart.

Burden of Guilt
Suffocating,
In the depths of sorrow,
Beneath a flood of doubts.
Gasping,
Unable to surface,
I frantically search
For what weighs me down;
I feel nothing,
But the burden of guilt
That fills my soul,
And then I realize
The anchor is me.

Crystal Ball
I chip fiercely
through the layers
in search of my future
but nothing,
nothing at all,
just the reflexion
of my curiosity
and the certainty
to focus
on the present
or my future
will be nothing,
nothing at all
if I chip my time away.

Being You
It's yourself you deny
By portraying a lie
If you fake your way
Through life each day
Your spirit, your soul
Will reach a black hole
That's when you'll know
How the power to grow
Is to trust your worth
Right from birth
Because being true
Is being you.

Live Your Best
If we could only accept the truth
The truth about our youth
With every day that passes by
We grow older until we die
Although fighting age is not a crime
It truly is a waste of time
So instead of why and how
Focus on the here and now
For the key is to live your best
Before you die and lay to rest

Psychic Freedom
Burrowed deep,
within a physical structure,
a soul exists,
obscure;
locked behind an emotional gate,
desperately seeking the key of fate
that will unlock, releasing this spirit
from the ruins
of despair
onto a journey elsewhere,
soaring free of mental bondage
to that extraordinary place
known
as her own.

I Sacrifice
I sacrifice my happiness for my children
my mother, father, sisters and brothers
and sadly enough, to the one I give my soul.

I have chosen this path I live and now must endure
But I don't expect sympathy, but rather respect
For I live without regret
To know my loved ones have been spared.

A Mermaid's Point of View
They pollute our waters, the land, the air
They pollute the planet without a care

They kill our friends from down below
As they swim up to say hello

They build weapons to kill each other
They don't respect each race or colour

They try to hunt us in every way
But they cannot find our hideaway

We'll never surface because we fear
We cannot trust the humans here

Swollen Heart
A heart swells,
oozing with love,
having fulfilled, re-fulfilled
and over-fulfilled obligation.
But the mind now weakens
from the weight of this swollen heart
and the pressure must be released
before it explodes.
As they engage in battle;
mind versus heart,
one resists the power of love,
the other embraces balance
and they become an intertwined braid of strength;
a natural phenomenon,
the one of harmony.

The Globe of Harmony
There's a planet I believe to be
The globe of harmony

It’s beyond our capability to explore
Vibrating deep in the Universe's core

The luminous colours and pulsating force
Keeps the Universe on steady course

By emitting an energy surge filled potion
Through the power of rhythmic motion

And with each wave of energy brings
The right balance to all things

There’s a planet I believe to be
A gift from the Almighty.

Enchantress Commander
The creature of beauty;
a curvature silhouette
with a sweet scent and tenderness
that can wittingly
or
unknowingly
lure and sedate the beast.
This Enchantress,
once sanctioned as weaker,
merely the bearer of offspring
has evolved
from a sex goddess
into a commander,
able to rule
an army of warriors
by way of power,
yet
remain true
to her instinctive nature
as sensual,
the nurturer
a creature of beauty;
the woman.
