A Mermaid's Point of View

They pollute our waters, the land, the air
They pollute the planet without a care

They kill our friends from down below
As they swim up to say hello

They build weapons to kill each other
They don't respect each race or colour

They try to hunt us in every way
But they cannot find our hideaway

We'll never surface because we fear
We cannot trust the humans here

This is a very well written poem. I love how you wrote it from a mermaid's perspective. Good job on being featured.

Excellent! Has a nice flow to it, but carries across the message loud and clear! Sad, really, but oh so true - well, aside from the mermaids of course :)
