The Creek

.
The creek
                  Gurgling, tingling
Over rocks rushing to
Eddies for stillness and some quiet
The stream

Eternity

ETERNITY

An eternity passed by today
Since I started writing the poem
Full of eddies and storms
Prolonging the time in my heart
Or was it a magic of the art?

Fabric Silk

Silk, fine lustrous fabric
a rapturous vow path
Elegant romantic wedding
gowns; woven tulle waltz pose
rhinestone whirled in eddies
do the wed till eternity

Some Days - Other Days

SOME DAYS

like a little stream
life flows softly and with ease
all dancing eddies

OTHER DAYS

into opaque mud
boulders press with sharp edges
only breathe through crevice

What An Adventure

“Wander Lust and The Need For Adventure”

Showered in soft kettle-drums
Music softly eddies
To purple robed hills
Melody wanders toward
The streaming chant of
Mediterranean Sea.

Feeling Good

FEELING GOOD

Life is rich and filled with delight

Circling round us in eddies and swirls

Our days are glorious glowing bright

We are swimmers in a sea of shining pearls

Rivulets Refreshed

Look out o'er the water
   thoughts ebb and flow
Stroll down the boardwalk
   miles and miles to go

Reflect and refresh to
   water's eddies and time
Seeking new rivulets
   of rhythm and rhyme

Cuck Hold

Your tongue tip
steady
clasp my knees to your temple
waterfall your gaping slavery
swallow deep my eddies
Why isn't there a pathetock
your pathetic makes me sneer
when my squirms are finished
 off out of here

A Small Crowd

Fallen leaves knuckled
below eddies float again
swiftly shimmering.

Rain withers with gray
asphalt rising. Curbs cement
puddles running still.

Sunlit raindrops stop
hissing at guttural moans
tickling us for laughs.

Dream Catcher (For Andrea)

DREAM CATCHER (for Andrea)

Lover of the sonnet she
And fond also of Etheree
Has her certain way with words
That one may catch semantically

I ken she is a kindred soul
Our lineal eddies mingle flow
And seek out those who listen close
That we all might dream-catching go

The River Dancer

the river dancer

smooth he is
all under currents
whirling eddies bow with flare
catch up the mind in wild despair
precariously steps along the crest
then soars across the rocks again
rattling, tumbling over the brink
into the silence of a pool to tarry
for a stillness... then gone

Weather

Winds rip through the valley
Warping treetops bow down
Writhing branches break off
Winding down to the ground
Whisking leaves form eddies
Wrap arms round each other
Whilst heaven tries to drown

River of Life

Living river glistens and laughs
teasing, as it swirls past eddies
             slipping freely over smooth stones
                      pushing tadpoles and skeeters 'round
         meandering through sun dappled meadows
splashing forth fluid songs, making trees smile.

Torn Ditch

All through spring,
the catalysts of eddies,
encircle the rivulets
bubbling over,
like wherewithal's brandishing
this errant song.
Now the lesson is over,
dark ditches all reignite
treasons answer,
twice mightier than the sword,
he carries his words in the rain
following like the lamb
the serpents gain.

Untogether

moving as a river meanders
our broken romance
knowing old eddies
touching the banks
feeling out familiar shapes
curves to find comfort
through the endless night
left over love unbidden
wind chimes through
hollow throats
sweet morsels
leather bound darkness
stifled sighs
unanswered
and so we turn away.

Eternity

ETERNITY

An eternity passed by
Since I started writing the poem
Full of eddies in unknown lands
Was it a chance or magic of art?

Going upward to fly in skies
An unknown journey in the mind
Full of intrigues, all supplying
Accumulated knowledge defying
But the poor old brain is shocked
By centuries of old useless stock.

On Our Lake

The morning - kayaks launch, voices call, sound moves cleanly over deep waters. White ibis and blue heron cordon cypress knees; shallow eddies mirror the faces of our dreams. At twilight, sherbet reflections paint sunlight's fair, fading face on our lake.

Reboot

From where I stand
leaning
which way up
patches of blue
or jewelled black vertigo
bring me back to earth
and heaven is still here
Untrustworthy planks of mentality wobble
loose chemical nails
and windows rattle
in the human eddies
Time to back up
clean the head
reboot
save the screen
recalibrate
sleep

Karma

Of course
after one dives in
goes beyond
intellectual toe dipping
and playful splashing

We find that
Karma is Magnetic Illusion

like looking down into
a pool of shallow eddies
while being a sea of infinite
saturation

surface notion to think
that one can separate parts
from an eternal whole

like all dressed up
with no outside place
to go

River Life

River Life A river is a living thing that sings to clear blue skies, while deep within its eddies White Bass, Gar and Blue Gill lie. One great miracle's the Salmon, who upstream bravely flies. As strong rapids churn white waters, this spawning fish leaps high, to strive to do its mating and in three days surely dies. 11/15/16

Journey

The leafless boughs of trees rise,
Clutching at the night sky.
My breath swirls in the eddies,
Of the winter night.
Snow crunches underfoot,
As I make my way.
The stars blaze in resplendent fury,
As I am guided by their light.
Why have I come here tonight,
And whither does my path lead?
No one truly knows either,
Until they are at their journey’s end.

There's a river meandering through the mind

Vast as a landscape, not a straight but a meandering one
Sometimes placid sometimes storms, but always moving
It is alive; always flowing getting lost in eddies of distraction
Sense of timelessness flowing for millennia, shaping the earth
Thoughts shape you like a quiet meditation on introspection
It doesn’t always follow a straight path and takes its time.
