do you remember
talking in five seven five
form over meaning

nothing meaningful
until our lines rhymed
internally

till we reached
a fork in the road and
our paths diverged...

It All End's
Walking into the flames
Diverged in heaven and hell
I fill my flesh burn and singe
The filling is unknow
Not hot yet cold
Simmer of both but
That filling ends as my body
Becomes its own crimation....

Hiatus
A hiatus in my journey
Comes with the languishing
Love we once shared.
Our paths diverged,
Never to rejoin.
A hiatus is complete,
Rendering me broken.
But not beyond repair.
Time will continue
Despite a momentary breach....

Two Roads
"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood"... Robert Frost

Standing at the threshold of decision
I stood once, twice, many times observing?
Stepping forward I saw all I lost in life's collisions
I ran graceful and unchained just as life began curving....

Hurt
Her anger is a slow acid eroding her soul
Looking only at the small picture, and never the whole
Her conscience, controlled by agony and defeat
Her emotions, an eruption of thoughts make-believe
Feelings strong enough to rock the earth
All diverged from one angle, Hurt...

The Art of Unknowing
I would speak to you
Of two worlds,
And diverged roads,
But you’ll tell me,
Why do I see none?
I would paint lines to you,
Tell you how they bend,
What curves they make,
What areas they dissect,
I would tell you all,
Yet those lines,
They will always remain,
Invisible to you....

Two paths diverged into the woods,
some choose the easier path.
I followed my heart and chose to go straight.
It was a treacherous path and made me the best I could be.

I’m glad I chose the harder way,
It was the right choice for me.
I hope that you will chose as well,
Blazing a trail only you can travel....

Happily, Unmarried
It started at a place called Joe,
An anonymous encounter that,
Who knew it would be many years,
It would be,
Before I would tarnish my halo.

We spawned a little girl,
A prodigy many would say,
Who gets more amazing,
Day-after-day.

Then our paths diverged,
On many issues, we disagreed
Now sadly I must say,
We are happily, unmarried....

Autumn Splendor
Auras of assorted color
Undulating with the breeze
Tolerating the alchemy
Until the seasonal period
Maintains demands for
Naked limbs diverged of their burden.

Splashing downpours
Playfully cascading upon
Lovers enveloped in a sweet
Embrace. A breath of
Novelty in creation
Discovering a balance
Of order in the
Ripening buds for contemplation....

Break Up Whine
His evasion of responsibility inexcusable…
though behaviour of this being as per usual
originally from broken where never taught devotion
great pity he grew without learning.
Fidelity and faithfulness insignificant
from the superficial apathetic participant
thus emptiness diverged from initial love of splurge
revolved...evolved am now to be discerning....

National Siblings Day
Today’s the day to celebrate,
Unless you are an “only,”
The people who, when growing up,
Prevent our being lonely.

We didn’t ask for them and yes,
Of course we had our fights,
But such a bond was formed it somehow
Still, today, unites.

So here’s to siblings, near and far!
It’s worthy of reflection
That even if our paths diverged,
There’s still a true connection....

All Work and No Play
Two roads diverged in a yellow
wood
And I wondered if I really
should
Take the one more traveled by
Or let my mind sprout wings
and fly.

I had a scheduled conference
call
And a ton of please reply to all
I need that project yesterday
Too much work no time to play

Long I stood and looked down
one
Carefully weighing what must
be done
So long that I let the moment
pass
Then took the safer well worn
path....

Diverged
I've been single since
Not expecting to have thou
My life goes the way it is
I'm enjoying it much better

I found you as a partner
We had the best of life Together
And became friends of each

We all promise to each other
Not to be apart for any reason
We all get our fun together

You now gone away and
Left me alone with the lonely
Life and a funeral issues

I've started sans thou
And I'll end up sans thou too
I now became animosity...

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And I rushed down one half way,
Turned and rushed back, tried the other.
What to do, what to do, which way to go..
Which way do the arrows point,
Home or away, with friends or alone.
Indecision has been with me always,
Stride for stride there by my side.
Surely not the most stress-free journey,
But it has made for an interesting ride.

First line from Robert Frost's
The Road Not Taken

Written for Tracy Decker's Contest...

"(Two roads) diverged in a yellow wood and I choose the one less traveled by and that has made all the difference." Quote by - Robert Frost

As a child,
I did my own thing.
Not following others was my rule,
I traveled the road less traveled.
As time went on,
so did life.
I wore what I liked,
not what was in fashion.
Many compliments came my way,
being myself has paid off.
One might think the road less traveled is lonely,
I have found it filled with creative people....

Companion
Memories will always lasts forever
As we'll all be together and forever
To invent our own life's meaning easy
But it's still allowed and we'll be happy

While the futile keep espying at us
As they loathe and blabbed about our oneness
And the garrulous prolonged to be taciturn
We equitably annulled their vision

We're united for an authentic purpose
And never be diverged sans purpose
I hope and wish this company to last forever
And we'll be the last ones standing ever...

Animosity
lately i've been feeling weak
i think i lose a dare
i stopped looking for what i need
cause i knew it wasn't there.

every, now, and then, and which
i hold myself like a god
to pretend i can be so perfect
my wants are just my flaws.

i've been seeing feathers so white
i've been feeling dead
i have a dream that i can see the light
that peaks before the end.

to purify me, i just might need
an unshakeable sign
that i was made to walk a different road
and not to one, i diverged....
