Pain

It cuts like a knife,
can keep you up at night.
It can stay with you
for all of your life.
It has no one cause,
nor does it have one set cure.
I wish it would stop,
and one day it will.
I just wish that day would come.
Form:

Wasted Heart

Two mocking flowers
Count them…one, two…
Ridicule, joyous ridicule.
Wanting more…
Today was a good day.
It cuts like a knife.
Brain bleeding emotions
Into an otherwise
Useless heart
This one is full.
Time for a new one.

The Scar I Adorn

It cuts like a knife
When you say goodbye
This wound healing slowly
Until again you say hi

So clearly I'm lost
Without you around
When you no longer go
It's then I'll be found

From the depths of my chest
My heart is torn
You're the wound that I wear
The scar I adorn

Words you say can cut like a knife
Stabbing the very center of my heart
Bleeding to the sounds of your voice
Gasping for breath by your tones
I’m here dying, killed by your words
The sounds and tones crushing my life
I’m hurting by just a simple hello
It’s torture to me and my damaged heart

Dear Carolyn

I think about you as I cry,
and wonder why you had to die,
for there's a void now in my life,
that emptiness cuts like a knife.
I miss the way we used to chat
and laugh, and feel sincerely that
I'll miss you till the day I die.
I think about you as I cry...

Guidance of Neon Lights

Loss cuts like a knife
Where you once were silence grows
The city halo beckons
While the breath of death
Lingers right beneath my skin
Tempting glow of fate calls me

Start over again
Without you, yet without dread
Lighting my heart once again
City of Angels
Leading me back to hope, life
Let you go, a new hello

Blue tick

Blue ticks, a symbol of her delay,
Leaving him wondering, night and day,
If she's interested, or just at play.

His heart beats fast, his soul feels alive,
With every tick, a spark thrives,
But uncertainty cuts like a knife.

In a sea of doubts, he finds his voice,
Out of all tick colors, you chose blue,
Out of all people, I chose you.

The Haves and the Have Nots

In life there are those haves and those who have not
We are told there will always be poor people in life
Yet poverty causes me so much strife
In life.

I hate being so poor
I cannot take it any more
There has to be success in store.

I see the want in the eyes of my wife
My child's hunger cuts like a knife
There has to be an end of this strife
In life.

Premium Member Betrayal

Betrayal cuts like a knife
Spears the heart, bleeding with pain
Causing life to spin in strife
Betrayal cuts like a knife
Places a double edged memory in life
Anger is fueled, as tears rain
Betrayal cuts like a knife
Spears the heart, bleeding in pain

Who Is He?

Boisterous and bold
With an acid wit
Misunderstood for cold
Exhaustion exasperates but can’t quit
His poison pen
I know so well
His thoughts betray him
With his wicked spell
His caustic tongue
Cuts like a knife
Destroys my soul
Leaves me in strife
But there’s another side
I sometimes see
With eloquent devotion and decadent beauty
Cascading in the whimsical tide

My One True Love

My heart beats only for you. My love for you is nothing but true.
When we first met, and i looked into your eyes, I knew that your love
for me was not a disguise. Whenever we are apart, I miss you so much
I miss your loving and tender touch. I know that I have found my true love
the one that I want for the rest of my life. Because every time we are apart
it cuts like a knife.

Jump Off the Balcony

Should I jump off the balcony?
And put an end to misery?
What keeps me from ending my life?
This emptiness cuts like a knife

I wait for sleep that does not come
My heart hurts; my feelings are numb
In the trench of my misery
I lay in the dirt around me

I cannot pray as I used to
God, help me to cling on to You
I'll not jump off the balcony
Because You've been sustaining me

Family

Brother, mother, sister, father
without you, should I bother?
You keep me close and wipe my tears
protect me from all my fears.

When I'm sick, or when I fall
you are the ones that I call.
Never alone with you around
I am always safe and always sound.

My heart is yours, my soul, my life
when you're sad it cuts like a knife.
to make you happy is my wish
something something fish fish fish.

Important of Music In Our Lifes

Important of music in or lifes
Helps sooths termoils of daily strifes

Flow and temple of boasted notes
Rythem and rhyme that continues to float

A song from an lonesome heart
Ignited by an passionate start

Fantasy of wanting to belong
In or named in just one song

Spirits can be held on high
And can almost make you cry

So tread on your walk of life
And enjoy the melody that cuts like a knife

The Turn of a Card

The turn of a card,
the power it brings.
A new point in life
You’ll cry or sing

Amazed every time
truth is confirmed
The thoughts I say
minds concerned

How? I don’t know
I just know to be true
Wanting it in life
Now I’m over due

Gifted? Or a curse?
Never turned it away
Its comfort to many
Giving light every day

The turn of a card
Cuts like a knife
Never gives insight
Into my very own life!

Snooze Button

Go on,
I dare you!
Press me just one more time.
The alarm rings out,
Disturbing my slumber.
Dreams of sunshine,
beauty,
Sex, darkness.

The cold reality cuts like a knife.
Startled into sudden alertness.
Yet, in this harsh awakening,
A little ray of hope.

A tiny flicker that all will be ok.
That the new day which has dawned
is not so urgent.
Go on! I dare you.
Press the snooze button
just one more time!

Premium Member THE THOUGHT OF A SHARK

Think like a Shark, but don’t be a fish
You would become the Shark’s dish
Just like the Movie “JAWS”
Waters of fear
Dangers near
The shark Lurk
Teeth Jaws
Cuts like a knife
Flesh search
The find
Maneuvers in attack
Observation track
Beware
Swim in caution
Don’t be Shark Food
Shark drool
Don’t swim too far out
Sharks could be lurking about
Shark bite
Don’t be the Shark’s delight
Take this poem advice.

Premium Member Dreams I'Ll Never See

The times in life that cuts like a knife

Are the ones when I was a child

Far from behind they float in my mind

The nostalgia leaves me beguiled

Innocent ways on those carefree days

Stoked the emotions that would last

The hopes I had when I was a lad

Are now just the dreams of the past

Now I'm older and somewhat colder

With no new memories to save

Shorter of breath and closer to death

Guess I'll take my dreams to the grave

Hurt

As the tears roll down my face, I can't help but think of how happy we use to be
The one that use to make me smile and bring me joy is now the bringing me dark clouds and saddness
Nothing can compare to the feeling of a broken heart and this pain that cuts like a knife
"In time it will be ok," that's what I tell myself, but the realization of it all won't let me be
The time we spent, the love we made is all just a memory now
You will forever be in my heart
Form:

An elders time

Age cuts like a knife
Wrinkled hands can't work forever
The young need space soon

I walk out of sight
As a blizzard closes in
My memory stays warm

The night feels so cold
Stars cannot pierce this storm
Waves hold no favor

The fish were hungry
All that will take must give back
I smile, winter feast

Fat fish make good food
No one goes hungry tonight
In the sky I dance

Laughter from small ones
A ballroom so far above
Hearts know no distance

Six Weeks

What have you done to my life
When I think about it, it cuts like a knife
Don’t you have a heart
Or am I just not that smart
For six weeks I sold myself
Defiantly not on the shelf
Needles in my arms
As dangerous as firearms
Had to find a shower
I needed it for will power
A plate of food
If you are in the nude
Every part of me
Wished it could be free
You fed me to the dogs
I’m now in all the catalogues
Speed dial just for fun
I’m there like the noon gun
