An Albatross Before
An Albatross Before

I hate to sound like an albatross,
But Libby does have hearing loss,

And criticizing will make her cross.

Another church experience. She
is roaming around church to see
where the sound is the best.

Premium Member Was That Me
When I look back
  I don’t recognize myself

Was that me
  bad-mouthing my parents

Was I that mean
Did I say that – to my sisters

Criticizing friends so cruelly
   always speaking foolishly

Who put that tongue in my mouth
   Was that me...

the thought of you smiling at me
with bold blue eyes
holding my hand
with your worn hand
listening to my thoughts
with an open ear
not criticizing my comments
with your harsh tongue
giving me 100 percent
when you're day is through
loving me til death do us part...

Geniuses are after wisdom

Clever people are after knowledge

Fools aren't after anything

for

they know everything

thus spend their time criticizing

everything and everyone!

Ashes To Ashes
A devoutly religious man once said to me, "Everything you touch turns to dust when it should be turning into gold!" Afterwards I thought to myself, "Has he really forgotten that it is written, 'Ashes to ashes, dust to dust'?" So now I'm left wondering: was he criticizing me or God?...

Mother's Voice
Hush, my dear mother, say no more
(Shut up your criticizing, out the door)
I know you love me, want my best,
(You’re putting my temper to an acid test)
I’m trying Jenny Craig, I know I’ll win
(Your suggestions are tantamount to starvation sin!)

Hush, my dear mother, say no more....

I talk to the trees because they never talk back. Such gracious confidants they are, so non-judgmental; never condemning or criticizing. Of course, I do realize they talk among themselves; still they keep my secrets. That’s one of the many duties of trees. Trees in a forest; Silent sentinels never Betraying one’s trust.

New Day- New Hell
Today the mirror laughs at me
My hair is a curly mess
My stomach is bloated

I feel the disease changing
New methods to mess me up
Attacking my mind

Today I am too weak to carry on
Too weak for tomorrow
The pain can spread all around

I see the faces of those who don't understand
Judging me, criticizing me
I can't do this anymore

Today- I give up...

Ourselves
You know what you achieve by criticizing??????????
Nothing

Its merely fodder for the sad
In order to make themselves feel better

But do you know what can be achieved??????????
When the subject is encouraged

Anything
You know the subject actually even gets better

But that is sadly not the way we work
We do not want people to get better

Its the way we justify ourselves....

What A Beautiful
Human Being
you are
Like a precious gem
you shine
for all to wonder
It is a pleasure
to be in your presence,
to be bathed
in your magnificent glow
You are a gift
to all around
You traipse
through life with ease
never judging nor criticizing
Just living with your
own set of principles
that you keep
to yourself
with grace and humility

Premium Member Bypassing Intimacy
Listen to poem:
a buffer between the you and the me
the constant mediator chaperoning

criticizing with its glare and pursed lips
negating the realm of possibilities

as it downplays the fragranced essence of hinting
opting to zero in on the desolation of nothingness

and that buffer between you and me
only grows stronger and louder

Listen to poem:
Chaotic Conversations
(A Matter of Time)
David J Walker

perhaps it is diseased
it said
	the voice
whispering in my head
criticizing its creator

they will know
	you know
it said
	confident of
a pendent timeline
awaiting the charm of the chime

the tightly wound clock’s alarm
coming sooner
or maybe later
in chaotic conversations

but anyway
its just a matter of time...

Paradoxical
Death killed by his own knife
A thief stealing his own life

Fear in the closet hiding
A critic himself criticizing

Anger scolded and burning
The head from the heart learning

Lust by innocence tempted
Day by night resurrected

Strength by weakness beaten
Hunger by a glutton eaten

The law caught and found guilty
Dirt by purity made filthy

Humility celebrated and crowned
A fool of his foolishness proud...

Premium Member Please just put me down
I have a former neighbor, an older female friend,
who clearly does most thinking from the other end..
Many a time I should put my phone on mute.
Today she called chuckling, criticizing Blinken's tie and suit..
Failing to acknowledge nor recognize why he makes so
many trips to meet with our allies..
If I should regress to this level of pettiness whwen seventy-eight,
please just put me down.
I'd be deserving of my fate.....

The Reality
Tread lightly and always be aware

That there will always be jealousy out there,

Their whole world evolves around what they want and need

By criticizing others for their likes and not just greed,

To many haters are jealous of others success

So they are not happy and then get depressed,

Because they are lazy and don't want to work

They are to blame so they acted like jerks.
