Please just put me down

I have a former neighbor, an older female friend, who clearly does most thinking from the other end.. Many a time I should put my phone on mute. Today she called chuckling, criticizing Blinken's tie and suit.. Failing to acknowledge nor recognize why he makes so many trips to meet with our allies.. If I should regress to this level of pettiness whwen seventy-eight, please just put me down. I'd be deserving of my fate..

Appreciate your tale and message. I've found that we usually keep our attitudes, whether kind or ornery throughout our lives so don't worry about being put down like the contrary old lame horse you've described.

Hi Silent One, I actually am a "people person" but now that I live alone, I love the fact that i have control over when and whom I interact with. She's actually a funny little lady who was a prior neighbor. Happy to make you laugh though..

Hi Ms. Paula, I am so glad you got a laugh out of this. I'm seeing a few petty seniors lately. This friend/neighbor is from another state and she is usually pretty upbeat. Lately upset over economics and politics but she never even votes as she didn't want to do jury duty..Go figure??
