Was That Me

When I look back I don’t recognize myself Was that me bad-mouthing my parents Was I that mean Did I say that – to my sisters Criticizing friends so cruelly always speaking foolishly Who put that tongue in my mouth Was that me

That's what awareness does for you, you look back and see it as it was, not as you thought it was. The veil is rent! The illusion is dispelled! I can see clearer now, wow! Thanks for the mindful poem, Gershon. I enjoyed it! Bill

Forget about all the foolish things we did before . Correct the mistakes and start anew. If you have control over your tongue now, it is more than enough. You can be proud that you have improved from what you have been.

You know, gw, I can honestly say I guarded my tongue well as a youngster. If I had misspoke to my father he probably would have removed it! My mother never warranted an unkind word. My sister...well, perhaps...a few times.

Hi Gershon, I love the simplicity and honesty.. I think our tongues were cut from the same cloth, Best wishes, Anthony
