Smiles and Frowns
a smile complements spiritual contentment
melts sorrows of the heart
a frown, a facial attire worn alone

The Moon In June
It adorns the sky
Darkness falls like a curtain
Stars disperse-glitter
It complements the night show
Out it comes in a new phase

when loneliness converts to solitude

emptiness grants company

for heartfelt contemplation

complements Yin with Yang

without chatter and restlessness

silence speaks volumes

Distrusted compliments
- screech like fingernails across
a schoolroom chalkboard.

No marked card - dealt from
the bottom of the deck - will
ever unlock my heart.

Avoid the overt
- sly Valmont, the skittish game
is wise to advances....

Poetry Soup
I ate a meal
that had a lovely soup
I went to the cook
for complements
she gave me a smile
and told me
that she used
a poetry soup
to make that curry
so much delicious
now I know
what soup is the best
in the world
it's poetry soup.

Yello Hello complements Purple Polymaths

Grey brain matter bursting to tell
Small hands collect seas washed up shells
Focus fixated fascination
One on one intersection
A childlike search to discover
Treasures rolled out, with wonder

Last winter’s freeze, summer’s awful drought: trees subjected to harsh conditions. Lord, still my doubt, let faith, like these, grow to fruition. ————

Hazine of the Orient
Her name sounds like holy
Like the ancient mystery
She's a blend of ebony
With a tinge of galaxy

Her wisdom amazes me
Like she knows my cup of tea
Except for fad and fashion
We have a lot in common

She complements my color
Like I'm the strength and she's the valor
Like the missing piece of my dream
That surges like my long lost stream...

Premium Member The Sweetener
As sweet as the coffee with sugar, creamer and milk
Words from the mouth are said
As the well-sweetened coffee is soothing to the taste buds
Words are nice to the ears
And heartwarming to the heart
But too much sweetener will cause toothache
And too much praises may block the melodies of life from the nature
Too much complement may make one proud and lazy...

Sunset of the Mind
Sneak preview of things to come
Long drives in the noon day sun
Path walks
Packing Music jots
Museum for fulfilment
Business ideas sharing
Open windows of color
Used in decor
New housing market guide
Fill of the inside
Beds of arrangements
Finding time to bud
Tree sprigs eyes a flutter
Pictures with nature in mind
Complements of oil shine
Late dinners with great wine...

You
You
are beautifully built
with a sweet soprano voice
that amazes me when you speak

You
sing perfectly well too
and so are your advice;
I could listen tirelessly

You
are a covering that qualifies and complements
every part of me
my listening ear in times of trials…

Your words are fire to my heart!
Yet, your silence tears me apart
as keen as a knife

I,
in the realm of your voice...

Spinach Pie
A spinach pie one can’t deny is good eating for you or I. A flaky crust, oh me oh my. A spinach pie, a spinach pie. Some feta cheese will always please. It complements the pie with ease. It’s aroma can be a tease. Some feta cheese, some feta cheese. Try some white wine. It’s taste is fine. I prefer a light white with mine. Is the food ready? Send a sign. Try some white wine, try some white wine.

Premium Member Compliments of a Floating Bubble
They carry my sorrows away
Through the tiniest of spheres
Dip the wand deep into the soap
Blow the bubbles into the air
There go the sorrows floating up
Flying through the currents around
Playing peek-a-boo with anyone
Trying to get away, they go higher
Till all at once…POP…they burst
And so does my sorrows with them
I’m finally in a state of true joy
Complements of a floating bubble

In the first blaze of the day's dewy dew tricked. Presently unclaimed, by intense sun acclimated. We fitly step and wantonly break deadwood. Our bones are broken, above than once permitted. Each progression is without ambiguity directory. A delicate breeze blows through plant greenery. For the unassuming, delicate welcomes equerry. For the quiet, blurring complements scenery.

Agitation
After the tides
After the French revolution
After the mannish history
After a feminine geography
After a long career in woman politics
After the boredom
After the wine
After all the complements I made
After the poetry I wrote
And the few verses wrote to me
After all the flood of kisses
After the national disaster
After pouring out all the anger
I made plan for a new trip
To an unknown continent
Where I do not crave poetry
And my poems do not crave me....

I See
I see spectrums of contrast
Spectacular complements
Of pulsar blast
Rose fields that last and last
Beauty not even fiction can
Surpass

Dark eclipse elipt a cast
Freezing nights and warm grasps
Present past and future laughs
Rickashading smile with only
One path

I see a universe in one
Where you are my sun
And meteors go on forever
As do the darkness of your eyes

As I explore you each days
Like catching butterflies
The vastness of you has me mesmerized...
