A nudist appears very jolly,
but only when patting his collie,
the dog's on his lap,
but not for a nap -
she's licking his bits like a lolly!
There once was a hunter named Frawley
Who lived in a shack, outside Raleigh.
His dog, funny but true,
Would only hunt honeydew.
The dog was a true melon collie.
JESSE was her name
A beautiful white and collie Friendly
always standing by,guarding the front door
She got sick,so deathly ill
We had to put her down
Our ever-Faithful
No More
A pet no one would ever trade
Such loyalty of the lasting, loving kind
Her memory now in cross-stitch made
No replacement, were we to ever find
Still,now in our memory-bank entwined.
A loyal collie on Chesapeake Bay
worked for his keep—if he wanted to stay
But when told: Hurry, you slob!
he laid down on the job
dreaming of running through meadows all day

There is an acting coach in Battle Creek
Who taught his theatrical collie to speak
Now portraying King Lear
He’s Time’s Dog Of The Year
And stars in Lassie Call Home in a week

Queenly, graceful movements
Quality is superb
Quick as a wink to calls
Qualified to herd cows
Quintessential dog
Quietly she loves me

The grass was wet with dew
Beneath her bare feet
She could not stop now
Not even to eat
Her collie was running wild
As this place was brand new
She caught up with him
He was chasing a cat
It was painted on a Subaru
On the left side of the hatch
REALLY? WELL RALEIGH!
There once was a man from Raleigh
Who liked to share food with his collie
On his knees one day,
while bent over the tray,
it bit off his nose by golly

Not a true story
My collie dog,
a mellon she has
seen, there...
her feeling very
Jolly...
my collie ate
that mellon,
was filled with...
melancholy,
somehow...
Now my collie in her
grave, for this...
mellon proved too
sour, now there...
on her gravestone,
appears
a Melon-Cauliflower
You must remember Rocko’s wife I say to my husband.
Not really, my husband replies, maybe I never met her.
She had a hawk-like nose, I say. Real Beak-y.
And a collie dog face.
He gives me a look.
Her hips were enormous; they moved funny.
He gives me a sharper look. I feel judged.
She was a pretty girl, I say.
He is wisely silent.
My summertime Muses are wearing the jolly
Still decking “the halls with boughs of holly,”
Eschewing everything droll and melancholy
Chanting a happy tune from “Hello, Dolley.”
Helping me deal with a rambunctious collie
Singing ad alta voce “Good Golly, Miss Mollie,”
As I sink to dabble in foolish, but hilarious, folly.

I keep my dog’s talents all to myself
An organizer, he puts things on a big shelf
Files my taxes, sends them in too.
Taking as a reward my husband’s left shoe.
He sorts my cupboards, and my large pantry.
How much more helpful can a collie be?
Did I mention that he drives me to work and back daily.
And sings karaoke at a place called Goo Gaily.
My Tasha Girl happens to be
a mix of both Chow and Collie
and I suppose it's largely due because I'm the guardian of she
that I don't see Tasha Girl as a mutt or other cross breed.
In my eyes she's so beautiful and a breed all her own so unique
and strangers also have been captivated by my Tasha Girl's beauty.
Don't believe me?
Her photos are in my blog for all to see.
We went to the S.P.C.A.
We got a puppy today.
A tuxedo fur of black and white
sox to match what a sight.
A mix of boarder collie and black lab
He`s quite a handsome lad.
We stopped at the Walmart store.
bought him a collar and few things more.
He checked out his new home
He even found his toy bone.
He`s the joy of our life
He`s in his "forever home" the rest of his life
My second dog Molly
Is a beautiful border collie
She’s submissive
Quick to give
Ahhh so many kisses!
You’ll never believe.
I know it’s innocent
But does she have to
Lick my face
As well as chook poo?
I wish she knew that
It’s disgusting
Even the crap of the cat
Just give me warning!
She’s nearly ten
She will never learn
Guess I’ll have to
Put up with it then :(

We adopted our dog Bess
Collie-cross,black & white,no less;
Perfect in temperament,ready to please
Walking her,my mind at ease.
Each night to her bean bag she crept
In the kitchen , cosy,she slept;
Welcomed all with wagging tail
Without faults,she could not fail.
A pet no one would ever trade
Her memory now in cross-stitch made;
Loyalty of the lasting,loving kind
No replacement,were we to find.
MARRIAGE – short version
Ah togetherness
Can be a joy or a HELL!
It’s he she me thee
And one must predominate
Which one is the Collie dog?
Talk about money
The stuff no one has enough
Can break a friendship
Can screw up a marriage
There’s my money her money
Let’s talk about sex
Can be a joy or a HELL!
“I have a headache”
Home late – “I had a flat tire”
The fat lawyer sits and waits
Truly loved him ever since he was young
That brown Collie is my sweet pet of mine
Lovely to look at when he shows his tongue
Don’t let him mad if he shows his rare fang.
Running nowhere in an old street line
He is there during my difficult times.
Doesn't talk but I feel his one great love
Our bond is as strong as these sweet chimes
Sweet as those most unforgettable limes,
My brown Collie is a gift from above!
I know not of iambic pentameter,
I don’t even know my own diameter.
And when I travel about a mile,
I don’t know how much is a kilometer.
So I might be slightly confused,
About all those words, that I just used.
But when I think about other people’s folly,
Mine seem so trivial, and melon collie.
So when you’re confused,
about what word to use,
Take a lesson from me,
and look it up, in the dic tion ary.
The ever-faithful friend of Timmy Martin was Lassie.
She was quite a beautiful and intelligent collie.
Lassie seemed to increase her breed's popularity.
Millions tuned in to watch her show on Sunday night.
For many seasons, the show reached a great ratings height.
Collie dogs quickly became a ubiquitous sight.
Lassie's episodes of bravery were not easy to forget.
So many people would want a dog like her for a pet.
Alone in the forest
at the mercy of sound
no lean-to for shelter, nor
bed of leaves on the ground
wind cracks through the brambles
rain’s icy fingers reach in
to magnify doubts and concerns
of faraway kith, distant kin
when of a sudden the collie
she’d heard of appeared
nuzzled up to her and
with that ~ disappeared

My very first girlfriend
Her name was Debbie Collie
I walked her back and forth to school
I wrote her a poem because she asked me to
It went like this:
I do not know what a poem is but I do know what I want, I want a new bike and a new basketball, a bunny rabbit but what I want most of all is just to be your friend.
After she read it she kissed me on the cheek we were friends until she moved away but I often think about her because she was, my very first love.
