Clowning Around
If the world is a comic laugh to you,
And your costume turns you outside in;
Necessity, requires you to laugh yourself,
Right side out again;
Remembering where you've been....

Clowning With Downing
Clowning With Downing

Again around all us poets were clowning;
What a wonderful poet is Akkina Downing;
Poems are all viable,
And highly reliable;
Were left laughing and not found frowning.

Crazed Cavorting
I’ve danced in a clowning jig,
Bells on my nimble toes,
Askew on my head, a wig,
Smile painted over my woes.

I’ve clapped in a rhythm inane---
Jumped in my floppy clothes…
My grease-paint dissolved in rain…
While tear-drop insanity flows....

Clown's
All the fun of the circus,
the clowning a round,
the afro wig,
the bright red nose, and lips,
rounds the audience up quick,
in a raucous frenzy,
giggles and laughter a plenty,
a bucket of water,
a spray gun,
a feeling of numbness,
of what will become,
of this fun filled circus....

     Notorious songs,
     Playing along.
     Announcing the undercurrent
     Of frustration and distrust.
     To belong is fairly simple.
     Open the door,
     See all the people!
     Put the phones down!
     Start chatting,
     Perhaps laughing and clowning around!...

The Execution
A well written poem
about nothing much at all
says itself

Critics lean forward
ready to pounce
The muse stands forth
the muse pronounced

Someone was clowning around
someone heckled
someone got bounced
the dissenting
were openly venting

After the word-play
a well-written poem
was framed and hung
and not in a good way...

Clowning Cures
“Today we will practice
medicine and cure the flu.”
The clown announced it twice,
just as a fun thing to do.

He went into the laughing crowd,
and found an unhealthy fellow.
Took him by his hand and avowed,
“By humor, health will grow!”

The clown was right, although,
the ill man was embarrassed.
But they all took their bow,
after his cough was suppressed....

Inside Frown
You might think that I'm happy
All of the time
But inside my smile
Is upside down
Otherwise, you wouldn't
Want me around
If all you ever saw
Was a continuous frown
I guess that's why
I'm always clowning around
Not wanting others to see
Me feeling down
It's the only way I can think
To keep you around
On the outside a smile
On the inside a frown...

Donkey

Should a donkey fail to perform
Simply
set the intention to
Let Her Go

Years of training her brain
A dunce’s hat
title
“Clowning Achievement”

Tethered this donkey and a horse to a tree
Mates no mule, must
let-her-go

A mighty prod in the back
Shows no betterment, must
let-her-go, set-her-free

In point of fact
Set-Me-Free...

Clowning
Seem funny to say ,I like being me,
and when the time comes
My mask makes me free
I like to dress up in crazy old clothes
and wear white makeup and a big red nose.
to enjoy the facade
seems rather odd.
But its healthy expressionate living
I put on my costume
and joy fills the room.
I'm a clown and much joy I have given.

Stephen Quantum Mechanics
Quantum Mechanics:
The new God
Explaining all.
All creating all.

It can be here, there
And everywhere
Popping out of nothing
And no where.
All at once
Spooky at a distance.
Multiverses a la carte
Something out of nothing
And the chicks for free !
Fluctuations, strings and all vibrations
Musician clowning
Dancing with a violin.

But why should it be,
Be at all ?
Who done it ?
The One God !...

Happy Clowning
The Clowns

Happiness has an empty centre
It is thoughtless as the surface of the moon
A passing cloud
A hindrance towards contentment
Brutal and sadistic
Totally self-centered
A smooth tool to hide hatred
The denial of other people’s right
Smugness of the winner
Making fun of the losers
Happiness is the devil`s domain
And the smaller the brain, the happier
Is its owner
That is way idiots laugh a lot.
So why do film stars insist being happy...
