close call, adventure, mystery
I'm running, panting.
I feel hot breath on my neck.
I turn, nothing there!...
close call, spiritual,
God wasn't ready for me to join him. . .
any more than I was ready to make the journey.
close call, angst, funny, girlfriend-boyfriend,
Cop a feel
Cop a lie
She's fourteen; Pop's a cop
What to do?
Cop an alibi!
First Time Is Forever
close call, fun,
First time is forever, living is off the charts
Rejoicing in the tender goodness of each man's heart
Woman's hearts too
That was a big PHEW
A close call, disaster avoided in these here parts
close call, funny
William Tell 'tis said
Split an apple on son's head
Son nearly dropped dead

The Paper Caper
close call, character, confusion, humor,
A crazy fellow named Paul
That liked to go to the mall
Did a caper
With some paper
That they said was "Off the wall"
To this day it's still a close call
To what they even meant at all
Was it the caper,
Or just the paper,
That they described as off the wall?...
close call, mother,
Mum doesn't do
Family gatherings anymore,
Weddings,christenings and the like,
She's rather go for a walk
Or a ride on her bike.
They always seem
To bring out her worst,
Make her curse
About to burst.
She'd give her own funeral
A miss if she could,
A close call,
But then given a chance
Wouldn't we all....
Music to His Ears
close call, fear, music, prayer, religious, thanks,
At church we thank God for his saving grace,
And honor that is His Holy place.
We don’t realize He sees and hears all,
Not just when we have a close call.
Praise God morning, noon, and night,
During your troubles, when things aren’t right.
He is always there to ease your fears,
Your praise to him is music to His ears.
Worth the Price?
close call, death, life, people,
I do not know?
Such a close call - again.
Home many will it take?
Don't you see how much
You have at stake?
We love you!
We need you!
What would we do if you were gone?
It would break our hearts;
It would break-up our home.
I know your intentions are good,
But it's just not worth the price.
It could cost your freedom.
It could cost your life.
Let not men be a cause
For women's downfall
Nor women be a source
Nudging men to close call.
In happiness or when sick
In infirmity or whole
Together you should stick
Yet, each at own role.
In spirit you're joined
Flesh: mere entourage
Lest you may be spoiled
Learn to supress outrage!

close call, change,
Sun dry wet laundry,
Autumn sun shines bright;
Cold damp breeze spreads flight,
Wet clothes fly gaudy.
Sun and clouds play tag,
Autumn drizzle fall;
Rush to meet close call,
Feel wet laundry lag.
Sun and frozen damp,
Hang wet laundry in;
Moist stale clothes bin,
Wetness in a cramp.

A Close Call
close call, courage, death, suicide,
Leaf I was that day as curious
As the winds roaring malign so furious
A better life awaits, all glorious
Deprived me of my senses, how spurious
Shuddering, my eyes sparked fire
As my feet choked in the deep mire
The haze got clearer
My life got dearer
The courage that I acquired
I began to retire
What was I?
A cavern to fear Death
Or a gallant to crave new breath...
the deepest sleep
close call, america, angst, dedication, deep,
The deepest sleep
He had been sleeping deeply
woke up tried to be awake before the sleep
took him into the depth of death.
He struggled to open his eyes, couldn`t.
Knew he had to make it, was able
to put one foot on the floor, the coldness
of the floor made him open his eyes.
He inhaled intensely it had been a close call
had he slept five minutes more
It had been too late.
close call, childhood
She yawns between blowing kisses
Her now clear blue eyes
She rubbed the sleepies out
She yells "Swiper, no swiping."
And is glad to help prevent a close call
She listens for the sound of the baby bird
She sits in miniature next to a woman of a certain age
Care takers come in all shapes and sizes
Naptime is just another episode or two away
She allows the sleepies to cloud her eyes...
close call, funny,
Whew! That was a close call, I bet you didn't know,
That I already saw that fashion statement, I already saw that pose,
I saw you underneath that hoody, I watched you walk the catwalk,
You say you are a dog man, but you creep like feline in your stalk,
I told you once and I'll tell you again, I'll only leave out a bowl of milk for you,
Because if you were a dog man I would put out real food, but your meow is nothing new....
Gramps Has a Close Call
close call, beach, sea, summer,
Their day at the beach was much hotter
than usual. Soon Gramps would totter
right down to the ocean.
We warned him his notion
was bad. We’d seen sharks in the water.
Alone, he was happily splashing,
but soon, barely clothed, he was dashing
to shore. He was screaming,
though no blood was streaming.
Just shorts, the big creature was gnashing.

close call, humor,
George Bailey taking the icy plunge,
Clarence saved him being his guardian,
a close call,
for Bedford Falls,
saved town from tyrannical bug,
The heartwarming scene at the end,
where townsfolk contribute a dividend,
hearing a ring,
angel got his wings,
poor Uncle Billy's pink slip pending,
George's life finally on the upswing,
till Uncle Billy forgot one more thing,
work in his briefs,
townsfolk red cheeks,
indecent attire thrown in the clink.
COPLA 99 INVOCATION: This Bad Guy World
close call, conflict, creation, leadership,
COPLA 99 INVOCATION : This Bad Guy World
Look : how Great leaders smile at the sky
Proud of the kettle-drum thunder they ply :
Yet tectonic plates inch by inch shy
Away from the Gondwanian crunch nigh :
Earth molten bound
Zhen the Eldest Son shockwaves the gong
Drowns our thunder bound in moth balls :
Nature’s close call
See how Pompei’s pillars go for a song
Come the Krakatoa tsunami walls :
(Do) Great leaders fall
