whispering city
blaring-chattering fountains
weeping train-tunnels
in prayer, I am taking
the one - thy name: my silence
clever squirrels prance
chattering at passing cars
Park teems with people
written June 18, 2021
I watch them as the conversation shifts, chattering chameleons, changing the shades of interpretation to suit their "narrative".
gathered on the lawn at Sabbath - a chattering of starlings

RAPTOR
sparrow hawk alights-
the chattering
stops
just one flap of wings-
the raptor makes its kill
pouncing down at will
simple but not stolen
nor AI nor chattering nor gossip
respect the reader time
I love short simple poems,
and writes that's right
Miles are between us,
still you can’t stop chattering;
Life is such a high
caught in this cumulus drift;
Altitude I can breathe in.
Silver haze of misty clouds
swirling from chattering mouths
Pursuing dancing snowflakes
Just before they die!

The little chattering
blackbird
gives me advice
get on with life
disregard the noise
the world is my oyster
just make
the right choice.
DOMESTIC SCENE
by the alley
paint bare and splintered
this leaning green fence
inside safe in their garden
two old women chattering
jumping for new friends
dolphins skim along surf's edge
chattering fun times

My wife likes to stop for a natter
With friends she will sit down and chatter
Now she does this a lot
And the size of her bot
Is just getting fatter and fatter
snow
ice frost
icicle
January
teeth are chattering
February also
March has been called off this year
a new ice age in the Midwest
we will not be planting until June
Knitting gives me pleasure.
Keeping me occupied.
Keen to create with some
Kaleidoscope colors.
Knowing cold winter has
Kinfolk's teeth chattering.
Knackered knitting for them.
Communicated
Callings caulk of code dictated
Chart centred conversations
Cull chatting curing nation

Say goodbye to summer's swallows
chattering on the wing.
Say goodbye to summer's flowers
seeds scattered in the wind.
Say goodbye to summer's passion
love sublime return to me.
Form:
eyes see the golden
squirrel chitter-chattering
uncover his nuts
~
let still babbling
forward paws unearthing such
near noon must be lunch

My brain was fried
by your love of the evergreens.
I tried to explain
such sweet bitter sorrow.
And all the time
my teeth were chattering like biscuit-cases,
I wondered if
we would live through tomorrow.
Form:
in the bliss of blooms
in the richness of old gold
chattering I hear
day of fresh breezes
in luxurious summer
brookside in fragrance
starry-eyed starling
his song carried by the wind
a romantic dream
Orange, tangerine, yellow, lemon, red, ruby leaves
Flowing off trees as if they are gentle waterfalls
Nuts on the ground, gathered up by chattering squirrels
There goes a tail, around a tree, September madness
There was a young man from Majorca,
Who was an annoying incessant talker,
His friends found a pool and threw him in
But sadly for them they just couldn't win,
Wouldn't you know he could talk under water.
People are chattering
I catch glimpses and dashes
Slivers of conversations
A word or two
A phrase that makes no sense
At least seven people are speaking
In a room of ten people
Who is listening?
It is a curiosity
The cold winter suffocates the world with its icy breath
dark petroleum horizon, trembling bodies - chattering teeth
Sparkling snow crystals have yielded silver, nothing was spared
