Summer Goodbyes

Say goodbye to summer's swallows
   chattering on the wing.

   Say goodbye to summer's flowers
   seeds scattered in the wind.

   Say goodbye to summer's passion
   love sublime return to me.

this is a wonderful goodbye to summer. I seem to find myself writing this kind of poem at the end of each summer.

With the winter we are experiencing now, I can't wait to say "hello" to all of the above again.
