Shoved in her face everyday
That aids this wound which must stay...

The Light of Yesterday
I was turning on a stretcher,
I was injured,
I was among friends,
I caught sight of a statue,
High in the sky,
Most of the casing had been eroded away,
And I said, 'you can see the light of yesterday.'...

Open Whats Closed
I understand what life is like beneath another moon

Being in your state of mind is casing you in thoughts cocoon

To believe in more than what you know and believe more than you hear

Is to feel the weight on others minds, and not fake ignorance for your fear...

Bullets From Heaven
Bullets, they do rain
Down from the heavens
Have no doubt
Their fallen, engraven

With your name
Sprawled
Across the casing

Spent shells
Hit the ground
Ring out
Bells in repentence

Teflon coated
Words of forgiveness
Piercing the heart
Of those less dead...

Mind silent, storm ruins deep-set soul. In dark vale flows slow sorrow stream. Memory flakes glide with dreams on trail of dry tears, etched beneath collapsed eyes, casing hope. ____________ March 3, 2023 Syllable count checked with HMS Contest : Waltz Wave Sponsored by : Emile Pinet

Heart-shaped crystal, hanging
On a rusty, dripping chain
Bright white light is shining
Like a spectrum once again

Twisting, turning faster
All the colors clash
The crystal falls into a pool of water with a splash

Its solid casing melted
Light and power gleaming out
Long lost heart repented
Remembering what love's about...

In My Skin
This body of mine
Is just a vessel, just a shell
That has no more to tell
About the real me
Than a stone can determine
The depth of a well

This crude casing
That I have been given
To walk around in
Doesn't fit my soul
It sneers and frowns
And brings me down
Off my high horse

It offers me no solace
No place to hide
This body doesn't fit...

You are adept at burrowing and slithering. Fight your way through the mud, bungling, and spilling. Plunged into the insides of the rind and outer casing. The further you lead, beyond troublesome it is becoming. Thinking over this is compulsatory rehearsing. Assumptions might be thwarted by the finding.

Along street’s he’s casing, unseen in control
Sickles and Scythes, double edged swords
One hooks the young, other catches the old
And for winding up days, gets a tidy reward
Not diamonds or rubies, platinum nor gold
But fruits, and candies, his Halloween hoard

INACTION
The chubbiness of your dense casing
Is an insulator indeed
The small still voice is hindered permeate
The depth of a copious essence
A mind never regenerated
In new known ways to profit
Hence your way is wood as you cuddle it
Time’s river drowning dreams afar shore
As you trot in ways antique
With golden opportune wilting
Hence amity is fog

Thought-perception-energy-ego
If these aspects of body-mind narrow
We all forgo

Thought & prejudice & breath & craving cease
Awareness yet is but with no form to appease

Let these reflections deep
Within osmotically seep

Supreme God consciousness enters our innermost casing
Of the Sushumna erect and in bliss so celebrating

Diameter
We have come full circle!
Freedom from oppression equals
corruption less deception.

The law of the land is zero!
Fraud and theft are over and above
pie to leave nothing!

The right to protest without violence
and freedom of education is none
from 27 to nought.

Death of peace plus an apology
has been deferred to 9×19mm casing
evidence lost at 20mm....

Cliff
She stands, a horse with legs taut and proud
And her eyes are an opera,
The clashing and rising of war voices
Marble eyes in rubber casing.
She is perfectly how
Hope stands in battle.
I bought a horse with a tail like a cliff,
Blown, fine, proud, tall;
Stalked.
And I would have bought you
But your hair was lavender.
And I would have bought you, twilight...

Uncommon Grounds
My heart scans
for a familiar face
through throngs
of strangers
as they scatter
pell mell
around me
eager shoppers
casing brightly lit
  sale stuffed store fronts
while seduced
by the siren song of fresh coffee
coupled  with
sticky sweet  cinnamon buns
suddenly
the bitter fact
swallows  me
whole again
you no longer reside
anywhere
outside
of  my dreams...

Discoveries
DISCOVERIES

Along a summer street crammed to bursting point
By an indifference of brick walls -
I come across a suddenness of dandelions
On a bulding site after the rain falls.

A sea beach filled by desertion
And rock pools half-buried,
With a rusty shell casing abandoned
In retreat by ranks serried.

Rain and sea offer nothing
New, merely reveal near-forgotten
Implants in the stream of time sodden ....

Into the Eyes
When I look into the eyes of the young,
I saw futuristic vehicles gliding
past their old and withered bodies

When I looked into the eyes of the old,
I saw carriages, majestically hobbling the streets,
Horse-drawn and noisome,
fear in the eyes of the young

When I looked into the face of the clock,
I saw my own reflection,
ticking away its life
in shuttered motion

When I looked into my face I saw white eyes
in withered casing...

I have held my last pot of hot soup
I've come to the end of my threads
Befraggled and muffed
Bedraggled and fruffed
A raddled cloth corpse that's dead
Frayed so soft and shabby
As the cotton boll that bore me
Worn to a frazzle
I have lost all my dazzle
Faded and haggard and tatty
So tattered in my casing
My splayed stuffing is facing
The dog who has chewed
What was left!

The Planets-Mercury
Children running, playing, laughing, and admiring the skies;
blue, white, and yellow daylight enchant their young eyes.
Scattering like little insects when the one child yells:
READY OR NOT HERE I COME!
Hearts racing at the fill of excitement, giving exhilaration
to there small scurried feet.
Show casing their not so pearly whites to the birds and bees;
who are thankful for their use of wings,
to not be bothered by these large, young, quick, and naive....

This Is My Mind, This Is My Gun - 'Insanity's Deliverance'
The gun laying in my hand shaking at the thought In the tunnel of my throat the word of the bullet is caught As the thought slides up into the barrel I descry the reverberation of the creeping peril As the pin glides back to eject the casing I embrace the feeling in the memory of my sanity erasing It descends to the floor as I fall to my knees My thought bleeds As my fingers quiver It's insanity my mind delivers *In collaboration with Alex Ray

Working Leather
The sweet, dead myrrh
of new cowhide
never ceases to please--
it is palpable, tempered,
clay to touch, a naked
casing of imaginings.

We moisten it, make it cool
to cheek, dry it to immaculate
canvas, a pale flesh
of flame and warm breath.

Gently, we mallet it to meaning,
carve it to incandescence,
an unspoken speaking.

It is indigo water
in crackled blue vases
on sun-brimmed afternoons.

It is contentment
of satin skin, beveled roan flower--
a poem at tongue’s edge....
