Discoveries
DISCOVERIES
Along a summer street crammed to bursting point
By an indifference of brick walls -
I come across a suddenness of dandelions
On a bulding site after the rain falls.
A sea beach filled by desertion
And rock pools half-buried,
With a rusty shell casing abandoned
In retreat by ranks serried.
Rain and sea offer nothing
New, merely reveal near-forgotten
Implants in the stream of time sodden .
