Those brutal cold days late in December
Caroling to buy gifts for my siblings
I wonder, do my siblings remember

The carolers came out of barns, sheds, houses, and out from under rocks.
They climbed out of baskets, boxes, barrels, and striped Christmas socks.
They came running to sing, and they made the prettiest sound of all.
But the audience began running away when we gave the mouse call....

Christmas songs bring Joy to the World
Childhood memories are quickly unfurled
Many begin toe tapping, humming all day
Lou’s exuberant caroling with a hooray

Christmas music puts us in holiday mood
Reminding many of sweet happiest foods
We sing along amid our blinking lights
Reminding us of other Christmas delights...

Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve is coming
Don't waste another minute
You can feel the festive air
I think we're almost in it

We'll have lots of friendly cheer
And lots of family
Mistletoe and caroling
Around the Christmas tree

Christmas Eve is coming
Nobody's feeling blue
The best thing about Christmas Eve
Is spending it with you...

Joy Encourages Soundness Upon Souls (JESUS). Need a contest challenging poets to write what
Jesus abbreviation stands for.

Going Christmas caroling with Carolyn is the most
fun thing to do of them all. Did you know that a
dead Devon who once was a squire now lives in
a shire in heaven...

Premium Member O Christmas Tree
'Tis that time again to bedeck the tree with decorations!

Untangling the string of lights is one of my annual frustrations!

Naughty words are said but when all is said and done, you'll,

Happily declare that sans a Christmas tree it wouldn't be a Yule!

Silent Christmas
No visitors,
No holiday feast
No caroling carolers,
No Who'sville's Roast Beast,
Not a sound, but for crows,
No phone ringing, what goes?
Three cards, and two gifts,
Missing wallet, gone with girl?
Merry Christmas, my heart a'swirl
3PM and trailer park is empty,
I seem all alone
My last Christmas, I assure you,
My heart, my faith, has flown...

Premium Member The Christmas Gift
Wrapped in pretty paper,
Trimmed with ribbons and bows.
The grand gift of Christmas,
A babe in swaddling clothes.

From a manger to the cross,
Humble birth, so too the end.
There was no room in the inn,
Opens the greatest tale ever penned.

Now we celebrate His birthday,
With caroling and lighted tree.
A season filled with giving,
Yet, the grandest gift is free!...

The Woodland Goddess

Thy mystic news from out the Invisible
Would save all men, were they but content to dwell
In lowly station, proud to share the power
That shapes the world in secret, hour by hour.

Her rosy fingers touched the ancient words
And lo! they quivered with the ecstasy
Of crimson bloom, sun-glances, caroling birds,
On forested green island waking into glee.

Premium Member The 'C' In Christmas

Christmas courts contentment, cheer
Contributes comfort, comity-
Commingling with the coming Christ.
Can celebrate with caroling,
Church choir chanting, candlelight.
Create commitments to cherish
Connection conceived with Christ.
Christmas cards and caring confirm
Charity, compassion, closeness-
Culled core of Christmas centerpiece.

Christmas Eve
Christmas eve arrived tonight
Upon it’s holy trek
Forthcoming at this time of year
A time to pause and reflect
A room laced with garland
A tree’s lights glistening bright
Caroling to be sung
Upon this holy night
Moments filled with laughter
And sounds of glowing cheer
Love and merriment shared
Of each one held so dear
These are just memories
That fills my heart with gloom
There are no tree or presents
To fill this empty room...

Premium Member Harold Can Out Sing Us All
Harold was the loudest singer in the caroler group.
Many got irritated at him, but when they reached a stoop.
The people inside heard them loud and clear.
Mostly because Harold’s loud singing voice was here.

We argued sometimes about tossing him out.
But he loved the caroling group, one said with a pout.
So we kept him in, until he got too old to come along.
Without him we were never in as great a spirit or as loud a song....
