My Batteries Are Dead

Love is like a remote
It's never there when you look for it
But once you find it
And push its buttons
You gain control

Buttons

No respiration
Stranded and moored blue buttons
Drying on the strand

The Curious Crow

A clever young crow from Belize
Collected old buttons with ease.
It hoarded its stash
In a bucket of trash,
And sold them for shiny gold cheese.

Manipulation
Pressing the buttons that count

Premium Member Black Buttons

I caught a glimpse of myself in the sideview mirror.
My eyes were replaced by two large black buttons,
similar to the ones on my father's outdated overcoat.

I Bust My Trousers

i bust my trousers
and my shirt buttons fly off- -
picks up a dumb bell

Buttons

Because I loved you, I let you
Underneath my
Tough layers through to the
Tender parts of my heart. The
Oath I gave was
Never designed to
Sanction you to hurt me.

Push Buttons

always
been
able to
push
buttons
seemed to
possess an
uncanny
ability to
continually
rub
emotions
the
wrong way
unlike
an other
why i have
no clue

There once was a naughty girl from L.A.
On Halloween she put on a display
She got dressed as a cell phone
Her push buttons made men groan
And she led many men far astray.

Song Not Done

Buttons on your blouse

                            played like soft piano keys

                                                          as our song is felt...

Premium Member TANGLED ROOTS

Soft hands fold laundry, laughter spills like loose buttons~ warmth in wrinkled sheets. No blood binds us, yet we stay~ roots tangled, holding the earth.

Push my passion buttons
Inside feel like indigo mixed with
Lavender
Love
Onyx sky not as bright as
We are when we climb it

Tender kisses like fruit
All
Luxurious and
Kinetic

Las Vegas Win

Las Vegas, big win. The coins are flying.
Casino is broke. Heart attacks. Someone's dying.
On Power Plant two teenagers were playing.
With buttons and wires, just pushing and cutting ;-D

Men and Women Eletric Oven and Accordions

Men to turn them on
it is extremely simple
just press buttons...
they are electric ovens...!
Women however are
accordions... to touch them
must be virtuous,
 a virtuose to solo
their hearts !

Premium Member Confused By a Princess Phone

How do you push the buttons?
The teenagers looked at each other and shrugged.
The princess phone was from 1967.
Modern and high tech then no doubt.
How do you get it to start?
There are no buttons!

Premium Member The Saxophone

Jazzy brassy voice
I scream in blue tones
I dance to fill the void
Buttons like backbones

I’m the woman you love
Can’t get me off your mind
I sing with your every touch
Improv I drink like wine

Liberty and Justice For All, C'Mon

To uphold the justice
they swear;
Yet,
how do you expect
some judges who attempt
to button their gowns
with no buttons
before a president
to be fair

(That is what often happens in my country)

Premium Member Jar

A jar now mutely holds washers and clamps, nuts, bolts, screws, buttons, and the oddity. It once held the dreams I dreamt and jangled with hopes, desires I’d saved, lost in one life.
