Confused By a Princess Phone

How do you push the buttons? The teenagers looked at each other and shrugged. The princess phone was from 1967. Modern and high tech then no doubt. How do you get it to start? There are no buttons!

You know, Caren, I'd like to have one of those relics for a conversation piece. I haven't seen one in years. I remember that they used to be in pastel colors like pink and blue. Must be some of them still around.
