In broken dreams
Anchored by silence
Bordering nowhere
I found love
Sleeping

they speak unknown

Bored Bard
Boardroom Boredom, onBoard
Bordering unBound muse and
Bothering my over-bred mind
Bleating and Braying in me
Boring Beneath my attrium's Base
Brown abyss of bottomless breathes
Where Blue beams blondely
Beautifully veiled boredom
Booms and burst as Uncharged breeze blows
Tearing apart the 'E' in ME...

Inspired By Ancient Poem: Ii
After a cleansing rain, the open plains reveal:
    no sign of contaminating dust.
Clearly visible now:
    emerald peaks rising behind hills.
The city gate enclose:
    willows watered by the creek
bordering fields yet to be plowed.
With the advent of spring,
it is now time to sow and toil....

Love Is
Lief
love
amor
amour
amore
 is in each language universal
Love knows no frontiers
 love is a marvellous feeling
Of the soul: amor or love is the word
In every language
Knows no frontiers
Country
nationality
Love of love
A feeling without bordering
 the first love
without borders
a world without frontiers
because love is universal...

So That's the Reason Why
Their population on the swell,
The local yokels just couldn't tell,
Why their isolated town called Bugaree,
Red dust and drought for all to see,
Was inundated by a city slicker hell.

You see,it was a radio man from 2CE
Using language bordering on thuggery,
Delivered such a terrible harangue,
Abusing listeners when they rang,
Had told everyone to go to buggery....

Like a thin blue line is a far-off lake bordering six towns. At my back there lies a grand mountain range. I sit viewing many green trees this breezy day in my valley. Leaves wave, but not goodbye; I’ll not roam! Beauty is my home. June 13, 2022 for Caren Krutsinger's Diminished Hexaverse Contest Your Choice Of Subject Poetry Contest

Premium Member Cymbals of Winter
dry white snow rasps the asphalt
attempting to reclaim the purity
of a metropolitan morning

coating the concrete pillars
brushing with tender touches
the grates and allies

dusting the bottom lands
of bordering belted swamps
with leggy aplomb

the icy shavings take flight
on the whoosh of winter
in hushed whispers they move on

Drowning
Drifting through this ocean of life, alone without a hand.
Reaching desperately for help, with envy for dry land.
Only dark seas in sight, and not a thing to eat.
Water fills my icy lungs, while I frantically kick my feet.
Near to death, far from humanity.
I can hardly think straight, I'm bordering insanity.
Nearly out of oxygen, running out of air,
Going under slowly as I'm tangled in my own hair....

Short, Not Sweet.
A pack of individuals who are really all the same,
To think that we're unique is bordering on insane.
Make up that special someone, anyone but you,
Peter Pan or Wendy, as furthest from what's true.
Go to that special place, that's far away from here,
Put all your cares aside and deny your inner fear.
A delusion in reality to keep our thoughts at bay,
But fantasy is the trap that leads us all astray......

Selective Recall Written: by Miracle Man New Years Day 2022 In a dim lit corner of every mind, lay matters which long have been whispered past. These thoughts congregate, ever to unwind, they’re distant moments that forever last. Some exist as Dust Bunnies, unspoken, and will never enjoy the light of day. Any thought garnered would be just token, not ebon or white but bordering gray.

Borderline
Standing on the threshold
Bordering realities
Caught between what is
And what should never be

Discerning my indifferences
Thought becomes a casualty
Amidst a different mindset
A mirror of humility

Step however lightly
Into that maze of doubt
Which keeps us all pretending
To know what life's about

Nothing's ever easy
In choices that we make
Regret's the pill we swallow
For each wrong step we take

Sadness
We have a great deal of sadness
Pent-up inside our fragile selves
Bordering at times on madness-
unhealthy in and of itself.
You’d think we’d learn to deal with it.
No! We shelve it for another day
and indubitably admit
its return in myriad ways.
Sorrow assumes many faces
Far too many to cope with each
Leaving behind tiny traces
of memories and self reproach.
Human minds are the rub, the source.
Their forlorn heart’s its driving force....

Isn’t it fun to be passive aggressive? Subtle and biting, rather impressive! Fact-free and spiritually dispossessive Use of hyperbole: deathly excessive Squeezed that one in, somewhat digressive Some might say that crosses to the transgressive (Authoritatively, overexpressive) Now, I’m just bordering on the obsessive, Cycling up and down, manic-depressive. Or maybe I’m battling imunosuppressives; Time for some fresh air, the best decompressive.

Winter's Embrace
Dawn breaks through the darkened night
exhaling beams of sprinkled light
across dense blankets of snowy white.

Naked, bony limbs start snapping
reaching arms upward while napping
allotting chilled moss to lay wrapping.

Frosted crystalline water awaiting
the ice-kissed surroundings, while creating
melancholy moans of biting wind deflating.

Craggy hilltops bordering, in sharp peaks,
glistening barren landscapes in streaks
as relentless Winter hibernation bespeaks....

Life, Thine Name's To Wait
A long wait in vain
Leaves me lost in rain-refrain,
Plonk, plonk… and long wait,

Back to whence began,
Back to day-dreaming again,
Life, what else but wait!

Haiku |27.06.2021|

Poet’s note: Monsoon has been for ages in many parts of the world a keenly awaited season in a year. And the anxiety for a timely rain is understandable; a monsoon lover like me included. This Haiku is an outcome of one such wait, a day-dream bordering on hallucination....

Premium Member There's the Door
I find it funny
bordering absurd
to hear people ramble on
and spill their beans

they must be all delusional
thinking they are entitled

do they really
not hear themselves

I’m absolutely delighted
to send them on their quirky
and eccentric way

I shake my head
clear the air and try hard to pretend
they were never here nor there
