By James Edward Lee Sr.
Their win, has its wind
Slap-blowing in our faces:
A musky-trump wind,
Blowing, blasting bigotry,
Slapping justice in the face:-
Love....
Laughs at obstacles in the way
Overcomes bigotry and prejudice
Valiantly goes forth and multiplies
Emitting a will of its own over us
The bigotry of isolation,
prejudice of despair
The future in your rear window
—abandoned beyond repair
(Villanova Pennsylvania: July: 2020)
No matter how bright a star is
It becomes futile and useless
If it cannot share its glow
For bigotry suppresses its flow

A blade of grass may slit
Until you heal and forget
But the judgment of a saber tongue may cut deep
That no amount of cure may heal it, even regret
the chain that binds humanity
bigotry… in all forms
our hearts, minds & souls
must learn to overcome
we must break free of its grasp
to achieve great peace
You can't grow extra eyes and ears so just learn to thicken your face against voices of bigotry, judgmentalism and insecurities...

I don't know if from where do people draw their bitterness against other people. But bigots nowadays don't know the difference between patriotism and puppetry...

Hate the

Be not a slave of a bigoted mind
With crafty heart that's so unkind
For its tyranny will enslave your soul
Like a sickle that will rip apart your goal

Though the faith
he boasts about seems
unbreakable like iron,
it's iron cold, iron dead,
rusting away,
corroded by bigotry
and conceit, bloating
his self-righteous head!

A culture of guns,
An epidemic of hate;
Domestic terror...
Stoking bigotry,
Klan pride & racism:
Cooing doves silenced...
Mocking clarity,
Rising white nationalism;
Justice checkmated...
He called me 'Kike'
I called him 'Wop'
At two-on-two basketball
We two were tops
No pair could beat us
in the whole city
We'd be expelled now for bigotry
What a doggone pity
Thursday morning, moon said goodbye
Painting words on hill up high
With some puppets on the watch
Like putting me down is their catch
I don't know how much bigotry
Is poured in minds of mediocrity
fooled
by deception,
bigotry and hate
set out
to seize the day...
totally unaware
they would encounter
justice...peace...love...
erupting from each step
along the way
they would dare:
truth prevails...
never fails...
GLUTTONY
We hunger for the salted tales
of bland and spiceless lives
We gorge ourselves on tasteless news
as soon as it arrives
We savor cuts of bigotry
then stuff ourselves with hate
While grinding on the rumor mill
that seasons up our plate
All Republicans
All Democrats
All Liberals
All men
All women
All Irish
All Blacks
All Germans
All Whites
All grandmas
All grandpas
All gays
All policemen
All transgenders
All pedophiles
Prejudice, bigotry and ignorance often begin with the same word.
Lee bridged the race divide
when prejudice had nowhere to hide-
Riding a mustang in the sky
His deeds gave bigotry the lie,
sterotyping his,to defy.
Tribute to Lt-Colonel Lee Archer (1919-2010) WW2 fighter pilot and VP of General Foods who
died this past week
Prying eyes all around me
Like I'm a sort of celebrity
They want every piece of me
They are baffled by my mystery
For what I do is like ordinary
But for them it is a big deal
For the sway of bigotry
Has clouded their minds for real

I abhor…
bigotry,
dishonesty,
hate and
disloyalty,
bias
and jealousy,
misogyny
and tyranny
But more than anything
I hate weakness in all its forms,
cowardice being the most destructive,
which allows all of the things I abhor…
to exist
(Dreamsleep: April, 2020)
Love could never reside in one’s heart
If
Hatred and bigotry aren’t first evicted!

* SORRY, Due to a malfunction this poem was deleted together
with the comments, therefore I post it again so as to keep
it in the files!
My bigotry festered and grew
then out of control it just blew
but I just couldn't see
since you're different from me
surely I must be different from you
(A kneejerk reaction poem about the man who abused then
tore the Hijaab off a Muslim woman on a local train , last weekend)
