A Night's Encounter
It was Santa's last port of call,
A house that looked awkwardly tall,
It had a long chimney,
Through it was a journey,
It ushered him to a large hall.

Giving the Kitty Some Food
This morning tried calling mom to collude
Dad explained awkwardly pet care ensued
Later thought the answer quite abnormal
Having no pets the excuse seemed immoral
Given Dad said was giving the kitty some food

I'M Going Under
.

              Crack

       Across my head
               with
         ball and chain

              Down
       i’m going under

Awkwardly I sit and muse

              does
               she
              laugh...

Storm Is Coming
storm is coming
beyond the rising storm
the desire is falling awkwardly
life at a plateau
as we watch reluctantly
into our world
we see it torn apart
the storm is
inevitable
it is coming
we can stand and fight
or leave and take flight
storm is coming...

Love Must Be Written With Much Love
love is what
the soul feels and
the body writes...
Many write
sans art, sans love,
others love awkwardly
and art...
I imagine the
love is imprinted
in the chest and
 preserved
in the heart...
love...we won,
love love
we donate
and we received
in body
and soul...!...

I Want To Be In Love
I want to be
Amazingly, exstatically, unconditionally
Unforgettably, accidentally, anxiously
Awkwardly, wildly, equally,
Unexpectedly, truthfully, foolishly
Deliberately, tenderly, surprisingly,
Faithfully, innocently, happily,
Honestly, joyously, kindly
In love with you....

Not a Skipper
high in the
highlands
Scotland
where he
found a
new yes

an

entirely new
species of
butterfly and
named it
after his
wife

now

she is
my wife
as i stand
awkwardly
with not one
but a dozen roses

in

hand
thinking
obviously
not planned
very well for how
can this top that...

Oxymoron Over Me
Soft and quiet one moment,
Rough and demanding the next.
Underminded and distant another moment,
Outspoken and won't let go seconds later.
Put together and thoughtful after mere minutes,
Unorganized and jumbled awkwardly after.
He has no excuse as to why,
But I do.
My boyfriend is an oxymoron,
When it comes to me....

Touching the soft light
Fumbling with forevermore
Releasing fumes, feelings glow,

Breathtaking, dreams trembling, awkwardly climbing,
Arrested by fate, the flow of mystery,

Triplex herbs in indigo, violet kiss
Stirring disciplines,
Evoking her light,
glowing beneath the unsteady crevices
Reflecting the impossible, dazzling, bright....

Neon Awakening
it's not unlike
the fluorescent light in my kitchen
 which is faulty
 it flickers on and off

that's what it's like just now to write again

my muse... like Cinderella waking
eyelids fluttering

taking you up hands and embrace
we begin dancing awkwardly together
like candlelight and darkness

I am the incandescence and you
 the ink...

Live
live
not to exist in this life
never to feel
clenching your teeth
squeezing your eyes closed
holding your breath
throwing this gift away to rot
breathe deeply
take life in like cold sharp air
shocking your lungs
spraying vivid colors all over
screaming out
laughing awkwardly
let life loose
like sand to run through your fingers
swim in it
immerse yourself
live...

You
right now
pumping gas
i'm thinking about

you

moments ago waking
sleeplessly because i was
thinking about

you

it doesn't seem
to matter what i do
or even dream because

you

are always
even awkwardly
on my mind time and

you

time again
because time
repeats itself and

you

are always
anxietyly amen
again and again and

i

just
started
with the "a's"...

Dignity
DIGNITY

The racing crowd streamed from the station,
And flowed towards the bus stop.
It ebbed at the kiosk for cigarettes,
Swirling around two undignified ripples:

An old beggar crawling on the ground,
Scrambling for a few coins scattered;
Three pigeons walking awkwardly around,
Scrambling for a few scattered crumbs.

The human race was more dignified
As we scrambled for crowded buses....

The Box
If you run over a cat, dog, or
a child
sorrow cannot say sorry,
it is not like bumping into a stranger
with a polite excuse-me smile, no -
if a life ends under you
you can only scream into a box,
a heavy box you send to yourself –
maybe you’ll replay the scream later,
then later still.
Maybe you will carry that box around awkwardly
tucked under one arm while you drive on,
only now
with just one hand on the wheel....

Strange Bird: My Life In 9 Lines
Unwanted 'ugly-duckling', pushed from nest early
Spiraled down to unspeakable depths, crushed
Astonished by unexpected love and care, grew wings
Awkwardly flapped to outlandish heights
Tragedies hit, like plate glass window mid-flight
Expectations shattered, painful shards embedded
Weight of life's strain, lost dreams, broke wings
Fell back to earth, grounded, exhausted
Scarred but somewhat stronger, re-learning to fly...

Rain
Oh! how i love the rain
to watch it's beauty
fall from above
like the tears of angels
washing away the scars of yesterday
it's always the same
TRUTHFUL
POETIC
STEADY

It can be gentle
like a first kiss
or angry, as a last goodbye
it never gets lonely
always consistant
DRIZZLING
POURING
POUNDING

What beauty!
those countless tears
awkwardly falling
from the face of a bashful sky
i love the rain
PURE
PASSIONATE
CLEAN
UNASSUMING......

Premium Member Imperfect
Imperfect she isn't, in her white lace dress,
Her short curly blond hair in such a mess.

Benevolence, four-years-old, three feet tall,
Such a precocious pearl, her finger so small.

She walks in with elegant garden flowers
Among the glimmering smile she towers.

Warm light rays awkwardly squeeze through the door
As she makes her first step onto the floor.

She imagines delight in her mom's eyes,
Caressing the garden flowers with surprise...

that fine day
wind in my hair
sun on my back
i'd noticed your smile
lightening my way we'd
canvased life's scars
sudden callings mounted
above a sassiness
for peace the berlin wall
crawled awkwardly
chains rattled steel doors
grounded throughout
salted stone
an yet you sounded
the trumpets opening
rusted gates
right off the hinges
oh how small i felt
jesus welp as
your words finally
come into existence
blind no more
and seeing
i am a human being...

Premium Member Warning
I was in pain, awkwardly perched
on the thick branches of a tree
where I had landed with a thud
confused and dazed, could hardly see.

How did I get into this mess,
with tattered clothes and much distress?

Over the fence I’d made my way,
could not resist ripe apples’ pull,
but failed to see the warning sign
which said: “Beware of roaming bull!”

Premium Member A Little Chubby
He was a little chubby
   Others called him tubby

He couldn't catch a ball
   Awkwardly would he fall

One day he took sick, then got sicker
At his plight, the others snickered

He knew they teased him
   Which did not please him

He stayed at home, locked inside
Afraid and alone, he wanted to die

Then at last he'd had enough
Too bad for them---life is tough

He returned to school and gunned them down
Left a note: ---Yours came around....

From the Sciences I Pulled Out
From the science I finally pulled out,
After my homework unleashed a shout:
An All-Times The Strangest Graph;
To our Physics Teacher, “Perfect Chaff…”

And it made the poor gentleman weep;
Awkwardly try something like a laugh,
His skin beginning to creep;
Tried though he to make it cowhide tough…

For a whole week, a graph was a secret
But later alerted the A solemn Staff
For being humorless evidence quite concrete
I had a target mi, by greater half....

The Ebb and Flow
The sun rises and sets
tides come in and out
as we look at the past.

Life spins around fast
as we gaze into the past
future and present.
See in amazement
of what has come to light
from our dedication set.

Seasons come and go quickly
as life's change so quickly
from words said awkwardly.
Realitives have passed quickly
and left our heart saddened deeply
but we smile because they
went to be with the holy.

All is the ebb and Flo of life
that we may live give....
