An Ill Wind
He has talent first seen as delinquency
That has given him fame, perhaps infamy
When he’s mad or chagrined
He’s inclined to break wind
With a sound like a Beethoven symphony...

TOOT SUITE

Alas, as hunters treed their prey
envisioning the feast
gravied meal at end of day
sopped up in breaded yeast.

An ill wind blew
and no one knew
from where it emanated

As sugar in the innards boils
and then - a little toot uncoils...

Sirocco
Listen to poem:
An ill wind blows
Straight across the land:
You can feel it now.

It’s a desert gale
That dessicates compassion;
A sandstorm
Scouring empathy from the heart.

It’s a parching blast,
A dry sirocco
That burns away kindness.

A wind that turns landscapes
Into arid civic ruin....

She came one day out of the blue
A cockatiel in search of love
And filled our life with utmost bliss
The perfect gift from far above!
But then one day an ill wind blew
He called her back to pastures new.

Satan’s Voice By: Tom Wright 10-2005 That reminding voice that whispers in my ear, Rouses thoughts that long have slumbered. But forgiveness has erased all guilt and fear, Now by erstwhile deeds I’m not encumbered. Sooner or later an ill wind blows for each of us, We err in assuming that it will always be later! Tom Wright

Premium Member Mother Nature Misbehaves
An ill wind blows this hurricane Sandy ashore,
Making everyone wonder just what is in store.
The full moon will amplify the already large waves,
And Mother Nature in her glory will misbehave.

In a mega storm people will come together,
Knowing God is in control, including the weather.
It is a reminder that life is like a grain of sand.
And for our eternity, we have to plan....

To yon who scale
Life's rugged mountain path.
Until hours, alongside hours,
Form up the day.
Enduring pitfalls, and oftentimes,
Others wrath,
Whilst clinging steadfast,
To hope's subtle ray.

Ever upward,
Remains another plateau,
Beyond vision,
Temptation's snare is placed in wait.
Expect momentarily,
For some ill wind to blow,
But be assured, beyond view,
Is Heavens Gate....

A handsome man beautiful woman
Admired and loved; their outer shell,
Pretty face like sweet fauna
Can be root bound within
A labyrinth of
Irrational
Behaviour,
Evil
Mind
To
Hide a
Gross intent,
Poems disguised
That speak about love
When ink turns radical
Perceiving of lonely hearts,
A dark moon upon the rising
A song a rhyme sent on an ill wind.

Burn So Dark
Stood in the nothing
From it epicentre
waves of nothingness
stretch and devour
Seconds sift through time
minutes mature and die
and hours grasp at life
Distracted by the lives of others
and immersed in the end
The ill wind blows from laboured breath
Never got the act together
as the partner always judges
Locked inside the star
diminished for none to see
burning so dark
Stood in the nothing...

Ill Wind
Poet: Ken Jordan
Poem: ill Wind
Edited by: Sparkle Jordan
written: November/2013

There's
an
ill wind
out
there -

It stirs
trouble
wherever
it
blows -

Don't
know
what to
think
of it -

Will it
come
soon
no one
know's -

In life
ill winds
will roar!

Be
not
afraid -

Cause
we can
change
it's
course -

Stand up,
and
say
no more -

There's
an
ill wind
out
there -...

Premium Member Ill Wind and Me
Sometimes ill wind blows my way, it seems
To cast opaque shadows over all my dreams
Sending my spirits downward soaring
Causes my life to lose its fragile mooring
I am wondering when this dismal mood lifts
Again, so I may feel the joys of life's finer gifts.
I am not alone, I know, here in the depths
My soul despite its dreary drift is not bereft
Of hope that I shall rise and soar
And know the ecstasy of living once more....

Premium Member Winter's Path
Scant trees release their burden...
Heralding the chaos yet to come.
The future dim... and out of sync
As leaves perish one by one.

The greenery fades away...
The oak stands bold and brave.
Flowers doomed by a precocious frost
Are laid deep within the grave.

An ill wind now crisp and sullen...
A harbinger malevolence lies ahead.
As I... the one in winter's path
Spend the next four months in bed.

              The End...

Premium Member Love's Whispered Promise
I see your face before me as I weep
By water's edge, leaves swirling in the wind
Your touch I feel in this, my frozen hand

I reach for you, but cannot grasp your hand
The tears well up in wintry waves that weep
Warm summer's sun now banished by chill wind

In June there streamed a milder, gentler wind
I thrilled to take your tender, outstretched hand --
O Nature, lift your voice for us and weep

~ Love's whispered promise broken by ill wind...

Premium Member The Winds of March
Ill wind, Fast Wind, Chill wind, March is here while Spring presses forward,
and Winter still lingers; The Winds of March are harsh against the human
face; cool breeze, long breeze, a breeze that is swift and efficient.
The Winds of March alert us that a change in climate is about to take
   effect.

Cool weather on it's way out, warm weather on it's way in for us.
How does Mother Nature performs these changes? Can a weather
station predict the Winds of March?...

Depature of the Truth
Heralded by the sounds of guns
They came like an ill-wind
Sweeping towards our choices
we fled and upon return
Blood, blood every where was seen

The gun of thunder boomed
Onthe trunk of the toads
We were the toads
Whose choices sunk under-feet
our ballot boxes departed
With the servants of the masters
The lords of our time
Children sent by fathers to steal

We the the Nannies shall go mourning
For the truth has departed
Our choices have departed
The ballot boxes have gone...
