Crystalline 2011-1

My heart is bound to heavenly views.
Where sunsets paint with vibrant hues.

merrily munching in march
glittery green grass

slow slugging shepherd
crouches carefully nearby
wistfully wishing

Stormy sea sailing...
high heavens hold humid heat
tremendous thunder.

Rapture of May 21st, 2011

"It is the end of the world", they cry
"Those not saved will surely die!"
   Never mind the fun fact
   Previous dates inexact
Get the marshmallows out for the fry!

Leo living large
Lion lying in his lair
Big belly bloated

Zebra and Zebu
Warily watching, worried
Ready to run

Fatigued full feline
Snoozes in the savannah
Animals amble

Eid Greetings 2011

It rained THIS year around Eid.
Rained both, clear... and blood.
And the land was cleansed by the following morning.
(For those unaware, Eid is a religous festival celebrated by Muslims)

*AS EYES FIRST MEET*

a glance to a kiss
with, je ne sais quois ,inside
on romance's ride

a glance to a kiss
love at first sight I suppose
why so,no one knows

a glance to a kiss
to a marriage of bliss-
something..not to miss

Alabama Nights April 27, 2011

Can’t believe these eyes
And what they see
As only blackouts survive
Driving my rig into the northern Alabama night
A twisting hand reaching out of the demon skies
And ripping out the heart
And giving back ruined lives
(I know, I was there)

Heavy frost, below freezing tempertures
Have denuded some trees
The pale pink running roses frozen sure
No longer the flutter or buzz of bees
Winter winds only thing to endure
Heavy over hanging clouds dampness
A lone buzzard flies
Irony spring buds adorn trees...

With August came hot breeze,
Temps above 110;
Heat, defoliated trees,
Been worse?
Don't know when.
The grass is dead,
No need to mow.
Air so dry,
The Rooster can't crow.
Today a darkened sky,
Splotches, like grey stain.
My recurring thoughts are why?
It does not rain.

Premium Member Birthday Poem From 2011

No words, can true love express,
nor verse,fine sonnet or song,
the need,the longing to give;
No touch, can true love relieve,
nor kiss,cuddle or caress
the desire,to quench this fire
to have,receive and believe;
No comfort,can true love keep,
in letter or token lock
our longing to receive.

After the Flood: 2011

That day, rain brought death.
Raging torrent swept away
Lives, homes, happiness.

TV images,
Bring impotent sympathy
For loss, shock and tears.

On a nearby shore —
Little blue boat, torn in half,
A chair up-ended.

Two porcupine fish —
Victims of freshwater flood
Mourned by a small child.

Recalling 2011 Written: by Miracle Man August 12, 2021 A violent wind, thunderous, and loudly, moves some stationary things it touches. If in the “fraidy hole” hunkering proudly, you've evaded mother natures clutches “It’s an all-too-human frailty to suppose that a favorable wind will blow forever.” Rick Bode

Angel Wings 17 Feb 2011

Angel wings made by muddy paws on the window of her room
Furry freinds come to visit bringing comfort to her gloom

Let me in I'll purr for you
And let you pet me too

I'll curl up and keep you warm
I'll calm you in this storm

You all may think he's just a cat
Fussy lazy round and fat

Sometimes our heart is closed and small
We can not hear our Father at all

So He sends His love to us
In little purring balls of fluff

As we lie ourselves to rest
At the end of day
What be the thoughts that fill our head
As in repose we lay ?

Did we do our very best
As we know we could ?
Here we are snug in bed,
Did I do what I should ?

Then on to sleep with plans and dreams
With family and friends and such
And Past and Future and all that seems
To hold so very much.

Then off we fall into our sleep
With a soft and warm and healthy deep.

Premium Member Ode To Brugmansia In the Heat of Summer 2011

A glimpse out the window morphs into a gaze
Brugmansia, your mystical delicate beauty clears
Air conditioned stupor. There you sway
Gracefully grasping toward thirst-quenched solidity.
Firmly rooted one strand beyond limp susceptibility
Leaves randomly ragged from young rodents' teething
Swelteringly bearing the dark side of nature
Fresh blossoms emanate dignity's essence
Despite gloomy doomsday predictions
Angel trumpeting goodness and peace.

5 Jan 2011

keep sliding, brother.
keep on and with it.
every star stabbing a tender keyhole
                             into our blanket.
loose tongue tangle and lashing
          together some beast
             of urban reply.
at least a machine humming
softly in a warm corner..
waiting..
calling for touch, but
     knowing no sensation.
set it all on fire anyway, brother.
burn those paper voices.
paint your face with ash.
smile at the cinders.
and be transformed.

The Death of My Cousin's Wife, April 17th 2011

Zum Tod der Frau meines Cousins am 17. April 2011 / The Death of my Cousin's wife, April
17th 2011/ La muerte de la mujer de mi primo en abril 17 de 2011 (Kintaishi)

Ein ausgelöschtes Leben
Die Zeit vorweg genommen
Verschwimmende Gedanken
Wie Bilder, die verblassen

An annihilated life
Anticipated in time
And then almost blurring thoughts
Like some fading images

Una vida aniquilada
Anticipado en tiempo
Borrosos pensamientos
Desvaneciendo imágenes
