There’s fire in those eyes
Flames flicker from finger tips
Her voice is forged from thunder
She has such shapely hips

She’s not quick to anger
Still you do not want her scorn
Her’s is the soul of a warrior
Heaven sent not mortal born

She is the thing of legends
Impossible to understand
With subtle smile upon her lips
The sky she does command

You may call her nature
A mother to us all
Winter spring and summer
multicoloured in the fall.

Stare upon her beauty
Suckle at her breast
God’s offering from the heavens
Is she a curse or are we blessed?

You make me feel so…
I just can’t find the words to express.
My poetic ingenuity, fails me thus.
Maybe I should just try my hand at painting.
Let’s see…
You make me feel Red.
Yes. A splash of boldness,
stains the canvas!
I’m cool and calm, Blue.
Yes. I float like cumulus clouds amongst you. Splash!
My essence so vibrant,
like fertile mud.
Black or Brown. Or both.
Splash, splash!
You make me feel at peace,
white rays shine down clear. Splash!
These colors don’t mesh, like sea meets ocean.
But you make me feel like… Hmm…
A collage.

JOY, JOY, JOY

Joy
to the
world! It is
the joyous time
of the year. Fretting,
dragging are not allowed.
Smile, jump, shake, shake, shake.
Shake the weight off your shoulder, stop
carrying it. Open your heart to faith, open your
mind to hope, welcome joy with spring in
your steps, enthusiasm, start acts of
greetings, a wave, a nod. Be
kind and thankful to lift
your soul. Now,
time for
joy.

I
am
Christmas
in a fir tree,
I was born wild,
in a boreal forest.
And I never imagined,
that I would end up lit up,
my branches holding decorations.
I was about strength and about courage,
a river flowed past me since I was a young.
Now, I am tranquility and serenity in my death,
a symbol of Christmas, twinkling in the living room.
My branches like a quiet violin crying, you can hear them falling
I gave
to life
all the
soul I
had in me, all these years, trembling in the wind, the sun, the rain
and snow. My reward for being majestic is my death ... how cruel!
I rested under the snow and placed on a cloak of pure white beauty,
then ... in the Spring my roots felt the black earth and I dug deeper.

The
voice of spring rain
It’s darkly etched, in the sky face,
rainshade in the main, I don't complain.
lyrical steps falling, frothing seductively, slo-flowing
rain that they are strained. The weather vane's
become inane, when every day it rains again. It's plain
to
see
for
you
and
me
it
has
to
be
the
   end *
   of play.

Clouds of fleeting cotton clump,
tire to make the changing shape,
tell wind, stop blowing squally across sky.
They want to adorn shining golden lines,
as cold sun sinks beneath skyline remote.

The sun rays paint old leaf tan,
in summer heat the face curls,
as the shape of youth crushes for it’s dry.
In fall wind it blows away from the stem,
tree wishes spring to usher in the green.

Dream buds unfurl the dry eyes,
see petals shape blissful bloom
in flowers soaking colors from spring air,
share hue of butterflies from sunset sky
until the shape of splendor wilts forlorn.

Bleak loneliness strides with me
toward you, my charming moon.
Its shadow sinks in my fading footprints,
that’ll pace until I reach you to embrace,
you’ll find me repose in shape of silence.

Life weaves web maze of patterns
with the ordained shape of things.

*
I
am
a tree
growing wild
in a rambling forest.
Each day I reach my arms
for the sky and feel the sun,
the rain and the snow fall on me.
On my branches birds have made nests,
and sweet little birds chirp for a meal, please!
Butterflies come to rest in the shade of my leaves,
and I hear a rippling stream flowing in the distance.
In the winter I go to sleep and dream of bees buzzing.
of the rainbow flowers that will grow all around me in Spring.
I wait
quiet
in the
forest
I am a tree, strong and weak, I have lived a hundred years in this forest,
and have many stories to tell, if you listen. Press your ear on my trunk,
you can hear my heart beating. I have a soul, if you cut me down I bleed.
I pray that I will live a hundred more years- in this wild forest, unknown.

Roughly based on Judges 1:15
John 7: 37-38
Caleb granted his daughter her wishes for living in this world where sometimes there is a shortage of water.
Jesus gave mankind the answer to living in a spiritual desert in this world.

It is supposed to look like the beginning of a stream from a spring.

Woman

Woman (Poem)
Nazim ZarSinner

             I have
       always been
     thinking about
    you, O beautiful
    creature of God, your
      your beauties, charms
        are eternal have
             spring given
          of affection. life
to hearts. Your voice has pride of
          ruling hearts, essence of flowers;
         for centuries you
         have been the queen
         of human feelings &
         soft sensations,
         each civilization
         venerated you
        as a goddess
       of prosperity
   caregiving, birth,
 responsible for
 life on earth,
    children are
      shaped in
       your womb
        who will
         be rulers
          in future,
           smiling
            f a c e
             is the
             beauty,
             poetic
            minds
          won't find
          equivalent of.

Premium MemberShadows Like Spider Webs

Shadows like spider webs across the lane
Shape-shifting slowly as the sun drifts
Across oranges of autumn making the hills sing.
I think of waning summer days and
Autumn's chilly nights soon coming,
Calling for warm jackets and scarves,
While the squirrels bed down in their nests
To await the coming of another spring
For scampering in yonder meadow flowering.

Premium MemberHer Shape

She moves in undulating beauty, a figure of mystery
who fully embodies and embraces her surroundings.
She cradles her arms around the earth like a tender mother
and fills deep oceans like a life giving womb.

Her fluid lines are as changing and malleable as the seasons
smooth and silky as a placid lake in summer
lazy and languid as a meandering river in autumn
choppy and volatile as a torrential flood in winter
laughing and spritely as a flowing fountain in spring.

She can be unpredictable and freeze into icicles
can break the will of the most hardened soul
or soften and melt into a fresh spring of happiness.
She is never silent, for her currents run deep
she knows no boundaries, for she is boundless.

Her liquid art is as unrestrained as the rains
endless clouds form and bear witness to her.
She is translucent and at times elusive
she can never be fully grasped
for she is the shape of water.
