Premium Memberorgan donor

my body is too aged to be of much use now
but when I was young I signed to be an organ donor
I was healthy then, no arthritis, great eyesight
one organ donor can save up to eight lives
and restore sight to two people
I think this is amazing

Happy is the song they Gave Me

Happy was the song I wrote
clear in rhyme and tune
a song about a man who meets
a Lady
they decide to marry in June

Happiness it the tune we're singing
a sweet romantic tale
Made this man my Lover
might his love for me prevail

Happy is the song of Lovers
Happy with you I sing
cloudy days to be romantic
sunny days we save up for rain
Happy is the song I wrote
might we sing it's
full delicious tune
Happy you and I together
our wedding, we kiss
our honeymoon

Aint nothing That I need
that aint you
aint nothing that I say
that aint true
aint nothing more but happiness
it's great cause
I'm with you

Premium MemberWhole Life Ahead of Me

The people around here
Say that because I'm different
In the sense I'm academically inclined
And seem so calm and smart,
That I hold potential to go further in life
Than others, such as my peers.
But really: I can't help but feel like
I am going nowhere,
The present has always been
Just the fleeting time of me thinking,
"The present to me is dull,
The past to me is self-pity,
The future to me is something
I envision constantly.
But now even I hold doubt in myself
And content in not pursuing living
As society knows it."
I like feeling somewhat
Above everyone else,
Yet I know what it feels like to come down
To earth with "my fellow man".
It's sobering, relieving to know
That no matter the amount
Of certainty or motivation:
People are good and bad in their own ways.
Little to no one really has the right
To judge stereotypically:
You're at home, a bit chubby, glasses, etc.
I feel settled now, thinking I got all my life
To save up money and finally
Going around the world
Or perhaps a few countries.

Protection

In life, we must protect ourselves
From harm, disease and pain,
With seat belts, sunblock, bug spray
And umbrellas for the rain.

Alarms give peace of mind in case
Some burglars are about
And wearing masks convinces us
The virus is kept out.

In many sports a helmet
Is required to be worn
And knee or elbow pads make sure
No ligaments are torn.

We pay insurance premiums
To head off a disaster
And save up for the future
Which, these days, keeps coming faster.

We plan and try to be prepared
For all we can expect,
But life may toss a curve ball
Against which we can’t protect.

Premium MemberCommon Mistakes

Often people do things that later they can see,
It would have been much better if they had let it be.

Sometimes people say things that others shouldn't hear.
Before putting mouth in motion the brain should be in gear.

Sometimes people want things they really can't afford,
But they buy it anyway instead of working toward,

Some preset goal they may have and really can't neglect,
But because they can't say NO they get it in the neck.

Sometimes we are they enemy that we must fight against.
It's good to learn some self control and gain some common sense.

Always do to others as you'd have them do to you,
And always speak the same to them as you'd have them speak to you.

If there's something that you know try not to repeat it.
Repetition is a shame to everyone who speaks it.

If there's something that you want save up till you can buy it.
Don't spend money you don't have, hear me well I've tried it.

Don't waste time treading water that's way above your head.
Listen well, remember these words that I have said.

Money

Money is one of life’s necessary evils
everyone seems to want more
Those who have the most control
Would even go to war

Not worried about the cost
To increase their monetary wealth
Willing to give up anything
Including their family or health

Money cannot buy happiness
Is what many people say
But to those who are obsessed
Happiness just gets in the way

Having money can make life easier
No worries about how bills will be paid.
The decision to pay for meds or food
No longer has to be made

Money doesn't grow on trees
But that's what some younger ones think
One day you could be swimming in it
The next it could be gone in a blink

So invest your money wisely
And save up for a rainy day
Because you never know what life’s
Tomorrow is going to bring your way.

Premium MemberIt Took All My Courage To Write and Post This Poem

I wish I’d had the courage to ask you
why you treated me so differently to my sibling

You gave her private education at Norland -
yet I did the same course but at the local technical college

You purchased a house for her -
yet I had to save up with my husband to buy our own

You paid for her driving lessons, bought her a car
whilst I had 5 casual jobs and paid for my own

You gave her money on tap
yet I’ve have had to work for everything we own

At the end of the day
you never treated me like I was your daughter.

Since you died …
Mum’s intimated you weren’t my father …
I wish I’d had the courage to ask before you died

NB Neither myself or mum have grieved in the five years since he died - as for my sister I have no idea, as she cut all contact with the family after she inherited part of dad's estate from me and mum.

Norland is a private college in Berkshire - it's where the Royal Nannies come from

Donate Organs Give Life

Moment he died, his mother sprung into action
His last wish was organ donation

Fatherless girl's looked at ailing mother,
His liver gave them life

Bedridden mother prayed for her only sons life
His kidneys gave them life

Parents watched their blind child sadly,
there was no way they could console him,
His eyes gave them life

Although dead, he never died,
His dead body gave life to many...

Note : Today, every donor can save up to eight lives and enhance over 75 more.

Premium MemberA Voice From Beyond

To speak for those, who no longer have a voice,
were I to get it wrong, would they really have a choice?

No.., they didn't choose me as spokesperson, why would they?
I am not clairvoyant.
But they haunt my dreams still...cause me to rise, plead me to look back.

They won't let me alone, point in fact.

“I am waiting patiently. Goodbye my darlings"
Bill didn't have enough water to write much more than this.
Born on Valentine's day, with his heart set on Chubby,
eight days to dwell on a love that almost was, now missed.

Mia was a sad-eyed beauty, there's no denying that.,
she never got free the shadow cast, Ernie's early demise.
Though a mother's love, given and reciprocated,
found a fondness binding, throughout her short life.

Marty made the day special for friends and family,
never thinking of himself, a miracle and twin borne.
Forsaken in life's wishes, called only for justice seen,
lived life fitting of a brother they'll always mourn.

Save up the coins for the ferryman while you still can,
the days will bring swift recounting.
Leave lasting memory for love's empty hand,
and debts of the heart ever surmounting.

Premium MemberWhen It Rains It Pours

Have you ever heard of the saying…
When It Rains It Pours?

Well that saying became real
in my life a couple weeks ago.
And it made me super depressed.
Everything thing in my house
seemed to breakdown( two things)
I didn't have any money in my
savings or on credit card.
So it's extremely important to
save up money for a rainy day
because one never knows what
emergency will happen.
I learned that the hard. I strive to
do better in the future. As you know
we all learn lessons from life
experiences.
Well you may ask me what broke
down?
Let me tell you what it was……….
My refrigerator and the plumbing
in my bathroom, stopped working
almost at the same time.
Is the problem solved?
I am working on it.
Am I still depressed?
No, although those things
happened it could be much worse.
My kids are healthy,
I have a roof over my head,
lights, gas, food, bed and a deep
freezer( thank God for a deep freezer).

The Greatest Gift

The Greatest Gift-

Can you see me standing
On the edge of my beauty?
But yet I’m lost along the way....
I’m a million phasing wavelengths
Of light and sound
Coursing through your veins.
I am the movement of the universe
In the space between a breath.
I’m just a brushstroke of earth and sky
The soil that holds
The impression of your steps..

Can you feel me flowing like a river?
As your time here rushes the same?
You can fill me up,
But I can be empty still..
But I never change my name.
I’m the reason for your laughter.
And why your laughter turns to cries..

Don’t You see me all around?
I’m right before your eyes!

I was here before You came to me.
And I’ll be here when you leave.
A priceless treasure you can’t save up..
But upon me you build your dreams.

Do you know me when you have me?
Can you save me if Your Strong?
Will You want me if I’m not perfect?
And when I end up being wrong?

Can You share me with another?
Or will you use me to just cause strife?
Do You realize what I am to You?

I’m a gift God has given You..
I’m Your Life.

Recipe For Life On the Up

Wise up,
Stand up, Man up, Straighten up,
Listen up, Sit up,
Learn when to shut up and don't Play up.

Freshen up,
Mix up, Stir up, Mash up, Cook up, Fry up, Set up,
Eat up, Fill up, Drink up,
Try not to Burp up, or Bring up,
Wash up, Clean up.

Dress up, Drive up, Walk up, Make up,
Don't be Stuck up or have a Bust up.

Join up, Turn up, Speak up, Write up,
Never be part of a Jack up.

Build up, Hoist up, Reach up, Hop up,
If you Stuff up, Fix up.

Save up, Round up, Pay up,
Never say "stick em up"
Or you may End up Sent up.

Cheer up,
Don't forget to look up.

Field Roast Vegan Chao Slices

I want to eat
cheesy down home goodness
I want to be mozzarella vegan great
to eat the best flavors right off
a non-dairy plate

but, honest finance
has told me so
I will never know
vegan in this price range

I could stretch out my dough
I could save up multitudes of pennies
but let's face it
I will just have to
let the dream go

seventy-seven dollars
for vegan cheese
I guess sadly
vegan isn't for me

Love Is Eclectic

Love is eclectic

Love is eclectic;
Fire heart;
Lone star…
Afar.

Love is a gesture.
Open doors;
Pull back the chair for,
The romance of it all.

Love is a question.
Would you like?
Do you feel alike?
Will you become my bride?

Love is patience.
Try on clothes.
Wait by the phone.
Save up to buy a home.

Love is endless.
Faithful;
Truthful;
Wonderful.

Hill Sick

As this pages stains with ink
The nights I stayed up
To think
And save up

The green leaves and the beetle
It dies slowly
Dreams of Seattle
More, it dies slowly

I pray you see heaven
Her breathe misses you
A page at the claws of raven
To the place you go, you.
