Daddy's specter plectrums mercilessly
Fraying my nerves raw
with oxidized guitar strings.
my thoughts relentlessly hemorrhage
onto clay vinyl grooves
s p i n n i n g
endless nights
of
suffocation.

a midnight jazz wail
lacerates
the void of your absence.
notes gnaw through bone marrow
ravenous maggots
in the corpse
of our love.

Chords violently crash
splintering my fractured vertebrae
a car wreck
in slow motion.
plucking
the frayed synapses
of my misfiring
modal limbic brain.

Fittest survive and thrive
Striving seriously for a living
The weak and fearful are preys
Societal programming the tools.

End up been eaten by the 
shepherd their care taker
Slaughtered for feasting.

There Was No Noble Savage

I sometimes hear a stubborn myth,
that before Europeans came
the locals of America
all lived lives quite peaceful, and tame.

The old trope of the Noble Savage,
that somehow manages to persist,
polls show a disturbing number
of people believe in all this.

And with it come these shibboleths,
that still leave a mark to this day,
that they were ‘closer to the earth,’

Lovable he was when I first met him,
Also shy but savage with words,
His smile is something I've never seen before,
I was mesmerized,

Manipulating the minds of the weak, fearful, and the victims.
Beating them into submissive.
Emasculating the strongest, just to see him break.

A Scotsman sat on a thistle,

Savage Garden

Morning glories have made 
The sunflowers sad,
Bowed down as they are 
By the weight of their clingy burden.
While carefree, innocent clover 
Lead on to the greenwood
Where gray wolves conspire with ravens,
And whatever’s been eating 
Tiger lilies along the fence
Waits with patience 
In deep summer shadow.
