Sanguineous Poems

from a sweetened

ripples of
sanguineous salt
a mixing bowl
brings forth
oceans and trees
cans, cigarettes
stains on carpets

My Invisible Enemy

A thief resides
in the blind spots
of my bruised
and battered
mind.

It whites out
joyous moments
and distorts
views of self
and the tone of
internal chatter.

It feeds
on clustered thoughts,
clogged emotions
and paper-mâché
smiles.

It mocks
my dreaded desire
for loneliness,
and thrives
on sabotaged plans
and poached opportunities.

It drowns my desire
in procrastinating
intentions.
Scribbled down
on epidermal lines
with sanguineous stained
blades
attempting to exhume
traces of solace.

Inevitably my enemy
gives birth to
psychomotor distortions
which rob me of
latitude
to prevent
my ambition’s
silent suicide.

Razored Heart Ii

I saw the bloody ending
My generation destroyed
My heart wrapped in razor wire
How I mourned their dramatic demise.
Down, down, down into the darkness of this obscure House,
Gently it goes
Sanguineous
Righteous
Whores of my Babylon
In my blinding pale yellow light
I see my soul my razored
I look at the faint glimmering
Down, down, down into the darkness
of an obsolete House
Gently it goes
The vignettes play
The light stays in absence rhythms
A fearful Generation
The neon and cathode rays blinding
Head long into that good night
Nothing in the finding
I saw the bloody ending
Generations from now
Tangled in my razored heart

Demonically Dispossessed

Demonically Dispossessed

...man has the ability to express great love,
and dispense great evil...

The legions of darkness descend as they beastly bewilder and offend
The serpents of Babylon attend as their ecumenical evil does extend
In a pandemonium plunge with pernicious pains and succulent sponge
With tenacious tongues they lunge and fast fade away as they expunge
~~~
In their fallacious faculties fermenting feces frolicking the wasteland
Demonic disciples preach profanities before the sanguineous sand
As they efficiently eviscerate exigently under their hellion command
For they are curious to castrate the condemned as their cries demand
~~~
Within their taunting tantalize as hearts bleed amidst the scarlet skies
Their goal the soul to compromise and for love to cripple and capsize
In a vortex venomous vile blasphemous broods of a damnation defile
For we must battle the bile as warriors of light with a sagacious smile.

When In Hell Do As the Demons Do

Within Dantesque fields of dust a calcifugous crushing crust
In layers of lactating lust demoniac deception a deist distrust
Hibernating hallucinations of hope in cathedrals trying to cope
As we push the envelope on a rambunctious rapacious slope

Tangled in declivitous dreams haunting breaths of silent screams
Reality is not what it seems sailing souls in sanguineous streams
Rays of darkness in derelict display like the mantis in perpetual pray
Dragon’s fire of seditious spray falling asleep admits meadows grey

Mellifluous mansions of desire nestled in the night a papal pacifier
Mephistophelian monstrosities up for hire an abysmal abulic attire
Dancing demons in anamorphic air a scurrilous seduction in a stare
Fallacious faces in their lair semisynthetic surroundings in a scare.

Sinful Shadows

'Let him who is without sin cast the first stone...'

...I am a sinner...are you?...

My shadow walks before me in curmudgeon corridors of space and time
Silent screams of the bellowing banshee warning me of my cumulous crime
One step away from haunting hell seductive shadows pull my skeletal soul
Living in a declivitous dwell trying to escape my hallucinogenic hellion hole

Sweet sleep of death come before me to burry my transcendent thoughts
Within my banished breath I lie lingering as my cadaver remorsefully rots
The sanguineous stench of sorrow breathing in the anguished accusive air
Entombed like a pharaoh my shadows sanctioned as the eyes begin to stare

Walking thru damnation gates I do the demon dance with deceiving desire
For my own demise awaits as I decadently distill in the dungeon funeral fire
I pray my dormant ashes awaken to liberate my sanctimonious sinful ways
Absorbing lachrymal lashes slowly I step to come out of this beguiling blaze.

Thick Comes the Night

The darkness subterraneously slowly slides in
As it covers the woeful wounds on the sanguineous skin
Thick comes the night I know it very well
Where mendacious mourners induce their own hell

The tears that fall...and build a wall of silence
With slippery slopes...and abandoned hopes of guidance
For the pouring of tears...of yester years behind us
As we slip and fall...and hit the wall that binds us

They cascade with their own charade...from within the inner soul
I slipped and fell to my own hell...on a tear drop as black as coal.

Leprosy

sanguineous leprosy you have come
 for me at last.

 pity the small things.

fingernail feelings...

i had no need for them in the fourth
grade at ellsworth elementary.

 blood in the principals office,
 blood in the hallway.

returning home off the bus down the
gravel road the pool of bethesda
in a mudpuddle to my right.

the angels stirred up by the undercarrage
of a 76 cheyenne passing overhead.

it does not leak oil but maybe
 a little gin and salt.

rattling, clanking, coming a little more
undone..

april in the kitchen canning blackberry jam.

you were a good mother you know.

pouring cold bath water over my skin after
walking
 through the stinging nettles.

you said dont worry its not leprosy but
just a metaphor you will use later in life in a
poem.

you showed me the bookshelf and
described how
stinging nettles are called Urtica dioica
 and originated from austria.
